I blog about visual novels as I read them.
Yep, this again. Writing this was actually quite fun last time, so why not do it again? I'd adopt it as a regular thing for more visual novels but there wouldn't be much point to it, would there. The rest of this post contains spoilers for the entirety of both Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. (SPOILER) In many ways Danganronpa 2 feels like a natural evolution of Danganronpa 1. The mysteries are more complex, the story builds upon ...
Every now and then you come across a character route that stands out above the others. A route that breaks conventions and does something interesting you wouldn't normally expect. One such route is Kurugaya's from Little Busters. Overall the character routes in Little Busters are rather formulaic. Boy hangs out with girl, girl runs into problems, boy solves them, happy end. Basic stuff. Although Little Busters gets away with ...
So, having completed my readthrough of Danganronpa recently, I felt like making a post like this. This doesn't mean I'm not gonna review it as well, but more than just reviewing it I also want to bring up and talk about some specific parts of the game that stood out to me, be it positively or negatively. The rest of this post contains spoilers for the entirety of Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, the first game in the Danganronpa series. (SPOILER) So let's start on ...

Recently a couple of members have shared their opinions on this series, some positive some negative, so I got the urge to think back and reevaulate the original trilogy as a whole. I ranked Ace Attorney as my #10 favorite Visual Novel back when I did my Top 10 and so far this rating still stands; neither Zero Escape nor Cross†Channel were able to get in front of it and push it off the list. And it doesn't look like Grisaia no Kajitsu is up to the task either. I'll be going ...
This post contains heavy spoilers for the eighth episode of Umineko no Naku Koro ni. If you have not read Umineko, beware. (SPOILER) Most people who have read Twilight of the Golden Witch probably aren't surprised at this, but it's my least favorite of the Umineko episodes. For the simple reason that most of the main plot has already ended by that point; Battler and Beatrice's game was resolved back in Episode 6, and Episode 7 tied up pretty much all the loose ends of the mystery ...

For a change of pace I thought I'd write more of a reflection rather than a full-on review for this novel. I'll go through the story routes in the order I went through them. Expect spoilers for the routes in question. Regular End First time through I didn't focus on any guy in particular, and so I ended up not getting enough 'romance' on anyone to enter their route. And so I ended up with the regular end... Damn this game turns dark fast. Basically during a ...
