I love Rise!

I adore how layered she is as a character. At first you think "oh, so she's that giddy idol that just has to look happy and upbeat so everyone will love her but is actually subdued underneath" but no, not really, she is flirty and upbeat and she likes being that way, she just doesn't want to be reduced to that stereotype. And the main message behind her shadow - there really is no real you, you are just as much the you that you think you are, as well as the you the others see, and that's really not mutually exclusive. I found that pretty mind-blowing the first time around and with every passing year it's just more and more true.

As someone who usually dislikes the genki girl archetype, I was really surprised with just how much Rise's character resonated with me. She's now one of my favorites from P4, just behind Kanji, whom she actually teases often. It also really helps that she's voiced by one of my favorite VAs ever - Laura Bailey!

They are really popular, but I keep finding myself sliding back into older games I've already beaten before instead of trying new titles. Why must I have these bad habits. ; -;

I quite like Alisa's outfit, especially the color scheme.

Depends on your interest. There's a time limit in most of the games, so if you want something less strict I would go for Atelier Rorona Plus, Atelier Escha & Logy, or Atelier Shallie. If you prefer more strict time limits for extra challenge I would recommend Atelier Totori, Atelier Meruru, or Atelier Ayesha.

If you want a darker environment and more serious story, the Dusk trilogy would be more your speed (Ayesha, Escha & Logy, Shallie), but if you want something more lighthearted, bright, and character focused I would go with the Arland trilogy (Rorona, Totori, Meruru)

If you care about doing them in order, the orders I have listed above are the correct orders. You can start at any point you want but you might not get all of the references.

I like her color scheme a lot.

I really need to try this series again. The only one I played was on the DS, and, while it wasn't bad, I dunno, it just didn't hold my interest. Is there any in particular you'd recommend?

Mark of the Wolves was a terrific game, and it introduced a lot of really fun characters; Hotaru is probably my favorite. I love the flow to her attacks, and she's super cute.

I quite enjoyed Firewatch.

What a huge list with great games. It will be fun getting through that. Sky rim though, don't be upset if it finishes you before you finish it. I've had it since release and each time I plug it in I still find new things and new ways to play it.

Geez that is a massive list O.o And I've played almost none of them X.x

First rule about cheating, never talk about cheating. Just let everyone assume you're super special awesomesauce at all the games you play, and never get put in a situation where you have to back it up.

There is actually an in-game password system that lets you recruit demons oothers have fused from the Internet! Which comes in really handy because at a certain point in the game you really just need to have perfect demons

Really surprised, but also really happy to see Strange Journey on this! It's definitely my favorite in the series, but it's also the hardest one - and I mean the hardest SMT game, no less - so I hope you stay strong and persevere, because the game is really great
