I just said I like Much Ado About Nothing!

I don't disagree, but I'm curious as to the criteria you are using to define stupidity/intelligence - emotional intelligence, pursuit of a career/education, generally being an asshole and/or making repeated stupid life choices, something else?

In my experience, many intelligent people believe they are stupid, and it's the morons who are full of self-promotion and conviction. I, of course, am the exception, believing I am stupid but also being correct in thinking so.

The David Tennant/Catherine Tate production of Much Ado is smurfing hilarious and fully accessible to those who care not for bardolatry.

Maybe he wanted you to think about why he would start a sentence with "don't take this wrong way" if he was just going to compliment you.

Maybe he didn't want you to think he was hitting on you?

Or maybe he just thinks you pride yourself on wearing terrible shirts. Which I would not put past you.

That's my point. In what universe could "That's a nice shirt" be construed as offensive?

How can you take the 'the wrong way'? what is the wrong way?

I think it's about accepting what you're good at, and what you're not good at. Not everyone is stupid and I think everyone can be clever and offer something besides stupidity.

Stupidity is relative; If everyone's on the same level intelligence-wise, it's a meaningless term. I'm defining it here as being in the bottom third.

I think you're being terribly terribly optimistic in saying that 2/3 people are not stupid. Stupid is contagious and there's no cure. How we've survived (and thrived) for as long as we have is nothing short of a miracle.
