My interpretation: Utter insanity.
I just finished a game with a three week deadline, which was extended due to the holiday season, and I was worried about running out of time. Of course, that's because no majority vote in that game resulted in a no lynch.
I think 72 hour days is way too long, even for a teaching game. 48 hours is plenty if you want to make sure everyone has plenty of opportunity to post and read. Could you even think of things to talk about for 3 days straight?
I guess it all depends on how busy the player's lives are. But I agree that you should cater to the busier.
@Futan: Longer days means more content between flips, so more chances to learn, and with a short day someone who's busy doesn't really have the opportunity to play. You could join in, make one post in RVS, go to work or school and when you get back, the day's all but over.
I'd argue that the longer days might prevent people from getting more into it. And possibly even hinder learning because of that.
Small games like these are actually my favorite types in general.
Ah, memories. I MEAN WHAT
Too bad you didn't put me name inta that post
thats disturbing
Oh.
That escalated quickly.
Huh.
Well.
The great thing about the EC is our official policy is there is no commitment. It's pretty much meant for a good time, you can be let in whenever you want, and if we notice you never post there for a half a year or so we might remember to boot you out, but you can just ask to be let back in. The relaxed environment just keeps it fun. However Raist you're FFXIV article writing is worth the world to me so anything that gets in that I'm not for anyway
I considered joining when Gobo asked me to a while ago. But I don't like making commitments that I may not be able to keep long-term, and I'm already kept busy enough writing articles.
I read it if that helps any.
Why are only existing EC members reading this entry?
Yes, please do consider joining! Thanks Bleys for pimping out the EC.
We have one in staff, I'll put it in the EC for you guys.
