My friend asked me the most difficult question ever the other day. What my Top Ten games of all time would be. I wasn't able to answer right off the bat either. It REALLY got me thinking about what would define a favorite game. Would it be how much you enjoyed it? How much impact it left on you? How much playtime you had? All these questions and more kept coming to mind. Damn...

In the end, after an hour or so, yes an hour of thought over this of all subjects, I came to a conclusion. Even then I STILL feel it isn't right, and its missing games or that some games don't belong. I've never felt so... at battle with myself T.T

The List though...

10. Sonic Adventure/Dissida Duodecim
9. Sonic Adventure 2: Battle
8. Star Ocean 2: The Second Departure
7. Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga
6. Final Fantasy 7
5. Super Mario Sunshine
4. Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days
3. Earthbound
2. Kingdom Hearts 2
1. Star Ocean/Final Fantasy Tactics/Pokemon Platinum

As you can see I like some remakes more, and my number one/ten catagory is a bit, err, debatable. I was planning on writing why these were my favorites though, even if I was slightly conflicted as to why they were. I guess I'm just fretting over nothing, but it does still annoy me that I can't answer this question without having so many doubts.

What about you though? What is your opinion of what a favorite game should be? And what is YOUR Top Ten games of all time? I'd love some answers and feedback

As for the favorites review, I do plan on doing those soon. I'm a bit busy with one of my lastest rants/reviews.

    A favourite game should be the one you enjoy the most. Can't add much more than that. If you enjoy it more than any other game, it's your favourite!

    Tactics Ogre, Metal Gear Solid 4, Final Fantasy VII, Shining Force II, Counter-Strike, Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2, Sonic 3 + Knuckles, Dragon Quest V, Super Mario Bros. 3, Pokemon Red? Not sure, but those are 10 out of order really close ones.

    Your top 10 should be games that you really think are that damn good, balanced by the impression they left on you and your willingness to go back to them. Actually that list I mentioned might change a lot because I always play C&C Generals instead of RA 2, and I have more of a thirst to play DQVIII than DQV, but mostly because I recently beat it in the last year or so.
