His answer: "Um...uh...."

He then passed the phone to his mother.

well, yr forgetting some crucial information.

How old was the constumer?
did he sound nervous or insecure?

when i was a kid i always found it scarry to pick up the phone.. im still not a big fan of it

Also, it's hard to be put on the spot. Ask me my birthday on the phone for identification purposes and i forget what months are.
