This is my family crest. Note that it doesn't have the color blue in it at all.

This means that the Norrises were and are a peasant family. We would never have been eligible for knighthood, or be allowed into court.

In fact, some of the first Jamestown settlers were Norrises, so they've been in America since the beginning of colonization. This seems to explain why I'm 1/16 Cherokee, but really, since I'm such a mutt of other European blood all mixed together, I don't guess I really have an ethnicity other than "really really white."
