Well, I thought I'd help with at least one of the resolutions since other people have already started and I'm just that kind of friendly douchebag. I certainly do not claim to have exquisite grammar. Commas are actually a great weakness of mine, but I thought I'd have some fun anyway.

What am I sorry for: (ending with a preposition)
A) I lost the family foto (photo) and am too lazy to make another
B) I make a bunch of stupid posts and threads
C) I'm pretty sure I promised I'd make an avatar for someone...
D) I'm sure there are other things....


So here is my (WAY) early New Year's Resolution(s):

I, HC, (You're not directly a letter. This should be in line with the rest of the sentence.)
herby (hereby) swear that I will try to comment more useful things from now on, use better grammar, and follow through with my commitments. Also, I will stop creating unintelligible threads that make people want to punch me, and will stop angering the staff, moderators, technicians, knights, and administrators of EoFF with apparent inability to read the forum rules. (little run-on-ish) Also, I swear I will not do any stupid actions that cause me to do several weeks of community service next year, and will stop taking peanut butter out of the jar with my finger.

There, thats better, (comma splice) what are your (WAY) early Resolutions. (not really necessary to capitalize resolutions)

you forgot that's on the third last line, and if you're putting an 's' on the end of resolution then you have to change that 'is' to an 'are'. That last sentence is also a question, and ideally you'd want a full stop/semi colon after 'that's better' (maybe that's what you meant with the comma splice remark).

Haha, some nice extra catches. As for the comma splice, I was just pointing out there error. As you suggested, there's more than one way to correct the issue either with a semicolon or making it into separate sentences (or potentially a few others).

However, for safety sake, I think right now isn't the time to start using semicolons. Baby steps.
