Has Obama ever read the constitution?

Because even I don't want to sit through a 30-minute clip of oral arguments on largely mundane issues, the interesting bit starts at around 18:00. It amuses me that the judge basically used the oral arguments as his soap box. But it's fair, as Obama got on his own soap box with more tiresome soundbites about democracy.

Also haha, the judge gave the AG's office a 3-page paper as a homework assignment. The judge appears to want the AG to expressly disavow Obama's statements, which of course it won't. But I'd still be interested to see what the AG came up with. The paper's due tomorrow, though I dunno if it'll be available online.

The homework assignment has been turned in. As expected, it is boring and laid out basic precedent, and concluded categorically that all of Obama's statements were consistent with that. Maybe they were, but it was still stupid and obviously political grandstanding in preparation for a possible contrary verdict. Anyway, the incident was notable enough to make SCOTUSblog.

The letter doesn't reference Obama's specific words as the 5th Circuit judge instructed, though, so here's hoping the judge gives it back with further instructions.
