"Other"
Okay smurf you game and your smurfing cliffhangers. It's one in the morning and I can already say that I won't be getting any sleep tonight because I so badly want to know what happens next. First, a quick impressions intermission. Natsumi is a very socially inactive girl with the worst obligation of all; Prohibition of Falling in Love, which disallows her contact with the opposite sex; no physical contact is allowed, no eye contact ...
I still have no clue what that sentence is supposed to mean. So, Touka's arc. For the most part it had a similar feel as Sachi's arc, although I think it was somewhat longer. Oone Touka is the daughter of Oone Kyouko and has been imposed with the obligation of fulfilling all of her parent's orders. For the most part this is stuff like "do one hour of exercise in the morning" or "study for three hours". ...
Having just gotten done reading Chapter 2 of Sharin no Kuni, Himawari no Shoujo, I'll give my thoughts on it. It focuses on Sachi, the "energetic type" as Kenichi likes to put it, and it seems the next chapters will subsequently feature the other girls as written above. Sorry I barely have any screenshots for this chapter. Now Sharin no Kuni is one long plot instead of a branching story so there will ...
So I've started reading this visual novel. Sharin no Kuni, Himawari no Shoujo - one of the more popular visual novels made by the same company that made G-senjou no Maou. I already regret starting it now when I have tons of exams and deadlines coming up because this visual novel is hard to put down. I like it a lot so far. The writing is glorious and some of the characters are just really lovable. The story starts ...
Narcissu is a visual novel developed by stage-nana, published in English by insani and Sekai Project. It's a visual novel that I bring up for four main reasons. It's on SteamIt's freeIt's very shortIt's very good Overview Narcissu is a story about two terminally ill young adults living in a hospice. One being a twenty-year-old man who only just got admitted, and the other being a slightly ...
Katawa Shoujo (lit. "Disability Girl") is a visual novel developed by Four Leaf Studios. The novel gathered a bit of attention as its developer team consists of volunteers from the 4chan community which formed Four Leaf Studios with the sole purpose of creating and freely distributing this visual novel. Katawa Shoujo is one of a vast minority of visual novels that was not made in Japan. Overview ...
And thus ends the last route. Was it a good note to end the visual novel on? Hell yes. Lilly Satou is a half-Scottish half-Japanese student who is enrolled at Yamaku high school because she is blind. She is good friends with Hanako and on not-so-good terms with Shizune, who is also her cousin. She has an older sister called Akira who works as a lawyer and occasionally visits Lilly and Hanako. Lilly's route is ...
I did have somewhat high expectations for Hanako's route and it was nice to not see them betrayed. It even caught me off guard a few times and the ending was pretty good. First about Hanako herself. She is the shyest of the heroines and has great difficulties interacting with people. She has rather obvious scars over the entire right half of her body, but it's something she apparently prefers not to talk about. She is good friends ...

From left to right: Misha, Shizune, Hisao Shizune is a character I wouldn't have thought I'd appreciate much. She is a deaf girl who is also student council president. In the early parts of the story, Misha - who acts as the interpreter for her - and Shizune are on your case all the freaking time and it can be quite annoying. That is unless you go for Shizune's route in which case Hisao actually ends up appeciating their attention as it ...

Going through the visual novel once more from the very beginning, I ended up simply picking the exact opposite choices I picked the first time, and I ended up on Rin's route. Which was perfectly fine with me because it was a route I was interested in seeing how it would play out. Rin is difficult to describe. The prime adjective that comes to mind is "different". She reacts to situations differently than one would ...
