Dear Eoff and Eoffers and who this might concern, Wow, I realized I have spent six years here in EoFF although I think I am only active for like half or less than that duration! But the thing is I still remember to come back here every now and then! I find it kinda hard to believe that I actually didn't forget about this place nor most of the people here! Although most of them that I knew aren't active anymore but hey, I get to know new people too as time ...
Well I am a matured and rational educator now working in a school! So for these past few months I have been hanging out with this male teacher in the school since we got posted there at the same time and we are around the same age too! Due to our work, we are like always seen to be together (ONLY IN SCHOOL THOUGH). So this is where the kids start coming up with stories with us being a couple and stuffs! One time we are having ...
So, less than a week ago I got my new bass. A Rickenbacker 4003 Fireglo and by the gods is it awesome. With a punching trebly tone that any bass player who doesn't like being at the back and being unheard would kill for. This thing is a beast. A destroyer of worlds that when let loose amongst the backline of any band in any genre of music it will dominate and it will ravage, reap and conquer just like bass damn right should! With bass players such Cliff Burton, Geezer Butler, Geddy ...
it seems like most people aare arguing whether Cloud likes Tifa or Aerith better........gosh! you guys are making it so complicated lah! sure,I like Aerith...but she just lacks that certain oomph......I mean,Tifa is Cloud's childhood friend and they ARE living together (theyre taking care of two kids...so that kinda makes them somewhat like a family).... some say that Cloud is more open and relaxed with Aerith..but have you ever considered that he may be shy with Tifa (and guilty cuz he thinks ...
Because I get tired so much earlier than usual. I hate that! I'm falling asleep before 11pm, and that's just weird for me. I'm not enjoying it one bit. Time I'd usually spend going online and playing FFXIV or chatting with people has lately been spent watching TV instead. I'm barely remembering to have dinner. This never happened in NZ, it's just the Scottish winter... it gets dark so early and having to close your windows to keep the heat in also means you get a real lack of fresh air circulating ...
So I'm stuck at the law school for another 90 minutes until my next class and I'm procrastinating finishing my reading for it. So here's a little rant I promised in my last entry about the "choice vs. genetics" dichotomy as to what causes people to be gay. The religious nutjobs say it is entirely a choice. But not only is this entirely baseless (well, based on the mindless bigotry that being gay is "ew"), but what the smurf does that even matter? Even IF being ...
I can't believe the crap I'm reading on the F1 forums/websites I frequent. Almost everyone seems to be of the opinion that Red Bull should: a) promote Vettel to the status of "number 1 driver" and back him to win b) let their two drivers race it out Either option would be stupid and it would be practically giving the driver's title to Alonso. Vettel is on 206 points, compared to Webber's 220 and Alonso's 231. With only 50 points left to go to the winners of ...
Yeah, I did just now. This is the second time within a rather short time span that I've started choking on something! A terrifying prospect when you live alone Anyways, by keeping my cool, trying to breathe through my nose (it was hard, but I couldn't stop my spasming throat from coughing to breathe through my mouth), and eventually managed to expectorate the damn stuff! so, be careful!
Yes, I know I posted this xkcd comic on Facebook, but it deserves to be spread around. This reminds me of the old truth: What do you call alternative medicine that works? "Medicine." Tim Minchin has also addressed this issue quite humorously in "Storm" and "If you open your mind too much, your brain will fall out." Skepticism, which is basically a critical ...
Just passed the halfway point of Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code. I've never read it before and I didn't go see the film so it's all a new experience for me. I was inspired to do it after I saw it on sale for $4.95 at a random bookstall thingo and after recently re-reading Matthew Reilly's The Seven Ancient Wonders / The Six Sacred Stones / The Five Greatest Warriors trilogy (he pays a bit of homage to Brown as the protagonist Jack West goes around doing things like finding the tomb of Christ and ...
