  1. On FFVII (part of my Fmarathon rant)

by , 11-23-2016 at 11:16 AM (Fynn's positive life blog)
Decided this is worthy of being a blog-post, since it turned out to be a much bigger rant than I expected and I'm not sure the marathon's audience is really there for that kind of stuff

  2. Dr. Strange!

Well I just saw Dr. strange, and it was good! Benedict Cumberbatch was actually great to watch act. The story of time and perception was good too and I followed along fairly easily.

I thought it was cool because of the idea of different worlds within ours (this isn't going to be a movie review type of entry, just what I thought was great about the movie). It goes to show what the mind may be capable of, I mean I know of a guy that had a spinal cord injury in the same hospital as I. ...

  3. It's the weekend, I want to take a break from the political stuff *sort of).

    Hiya!

So while I was reading about the meeting of the First Ladies (I know I just said I wouldn't talk about politics, don't worry it's just a mention!) they talked about the dresses they had picked to wear.

In the recent years, a lot of controversy has sparked over "why do you ask women what the wear and not the men?". As I read the article, it started to talk about the messages the clothes was trying to send.

And it kind of does make sense, also ...

  4. How is President Trump not some Americans' President?

I don't want to sound like "captain obvious", but America voted this guy in. In my opinion the only person that had a greater chance to beat him, was Sanders and you voted him out. Now lets not get into a debate, although that's only because I'm not here for that.

But you know I love debates.

So I am going to debate these protests that are happening all over America, you can follow it on Twitter #NotMyPresident.

To me it just seems like whenever ...
  5. Games to play

Let's lighten the mood from the election extravaganza

So I'm going to be making top games lists by genre. It'll take a long while (how long depends on each genre), but I'm going to list out the ones I still have to play in each genre.

If so inclined, feel free to suggest games you think I should check-out or that I would, especially in the genres where I have less games. Or just discuss any thoughts or opinions you have on these games, or even share your own backlog if ...

  6. The Election!

This actually has not much to do with us Canadians per se. I mean after all, this is an election for the next American president!

But this happens to be the first actual American election that I have actually followed a bit. So it is really exciting to me!

I just really want to see how things end up, and honestly I want to see peoples reactions, does the outcome severely affect anyone in some way?

  7. Hey, I have returned.

    Hi!

So I am back, to wreak havoc on these forums again. So that's good news, also... we're going to have so much fun!

Well at least I am, I really enjoyed a lot of my time on the forum. As I slowly started talking to others (I won't lie and say that I am now fully comfortable doing it) in public I started to realize the people that were the problem.

    Anyways, here I am.
  8. A Compilation of Important Companies and Writers

by , 11-04-2016 at 01:43 AM (Karifean's Blog of Visual Novels)
I've been planning on doing this for a while. With how the amount of localizations has been skyrocketing I figured it might be good to make a post introducing the various developers that I consider to be the most important and relevant in this growing industry of visual novels in the west for the time being. This way perhaps newcomers can have an idea of what to expect from whom, and where to look for what.

When describing notable works, green text is for visual novels that have received ...
  9. The House in Fata Morgana First Impressions

by , 10-15-2016 at 01:51 AM (Karifean's Blog of Visual Novels)
Do you know that feeling when sometimes you just get into the mood to drop everything you're doing and spend the next few days doing nothing but reading?

The House in Fata Morgana (or Fata Morgana no Yakata) is a visual novel for sale on Steam. The initial parts of the novel are written in second person narration of all things as You, the master of a mansion, are awoken by an unfamiliar maid.

  10. *Getting* Vagrant Story

Hi everyone! It's been more than a while. Graduated College, trying to find work, you know how that goes. It's funny that my first forum post in so long isn't about FFXV, but about a 16 year old game that all of 20 people have played.

So for about 4 years (on and off), I struggled through Vagrant Story, every time I felt like I understood its mechanics, I would immediately be thrown back down to earth with a new enemy type (screw the gremlins, the little Satan-spawns). Somehow, I miraculously ...
