  1. The Final Fantasy Pilgrimage

    Hey everyone!

Lately I've been sucked away doing life stuff. I want to spare everyone the details. My main focus now is "The Quest to Play Final Fantasy" which I dubbed my Final Fantasy marathon. I want to update that list again and go over what I've played so far.

Before I do that I want to put it out there that I am actively trying to build a hub for other Final Fantasy fans to find their way to this website. From my short interactions with everyone here I've ...

  2. Update

    Hello everyone!

I have a lot to update on today -- some good and some bad.

The bad news is my biological father died and I am having to come to terms with his death. I was close to him which is why I find it weird that I am not feeling too much. I think I'm pretty numb about what's going on and I usually wake up feeling pretty empty. I noticed that every time life hits me hard that it never stops. Right now, I'm throwing myself into school and projects to help ease the ...

  3. Finally beat Final Fantasy IX

    Hey all,

For those of you that don't know I have been on a quest to beat all the main titles of Final Fantasy. I started with the spin-off "Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core" but have steadily progressed through Final Fantasy titles I - IX now. I am finally into the PS2 era of Final Fantasy as I set out to play Final Fantasy X. In the past, I've done quasi-reviews but I feel like I don't really need to review them. Instead I'll just talk about what annoys me and what I thought ...

I'm always split on these articles. So many of these games are great and I have retroactively said a few of them made the list, but occasionally something comes along that I really want to love but the game just won't let me. Tactics Ogre is in a weird place for me because the remake and the original are pretty different in some meaningful ways, so much of this review pertains to the remake due to having only played a little bit of the original.

  5. The Devil - Part II

So Dave decided - let's win the Ciddies. I figured, we need a demondude, Devil Man type character to make this work.

  6. The Devil - Part I

Welcome to the story of the Devil, the account (along with "the Rebellion," a whole other story) that got me banned for the first time (but not the last, as is currently evident.)

Dave decided during the height of the Rebellion (Fatal Impurity, to forum peeps) to make a 2nd account. Eventually I would tell Freya and Quinnikins, and the latter refused to rat me out. Psy was onto the game, as he'd asked me about Evastio's axe.

  7. WK's Top 100's Lost but Not Forgotten List: Silent Hill 3

Is this honestly the first non-RPG on this list?

Well I fell into the Silent Hill series rather late. By the time I had played the series, the "glory years" were over and fans were knee deep in Konami trying to take the series in a different direction without Team Silent. I was a huge fan of the first two entries of the series, being instantly sucked into the second entry and surprised how much I really enjoyed the first one. So it came as a bit ...
  8. Final Fantasy VII Remake Review & Final Thoughts (New Edit)

*TL;DR: I decided to redo my entry for Final Fantasy VII Remake. I did this because I read another review from another member of EoFF, and it inspired me to do better. Also note, a lot of these sections will be incomplete because I need some time to digest what I want to express here.

Here's a brief summary of what I thought of Final Fantasy VII Remake. Overall, I enjoyed the game a lot but there were a few gripes I had with the camera controls and battle mechanics. The number one ...

  9. WK's Top 100 Lost But Not Forgotten: SaGa Frontier 2

by , 04-05-2020 at 02:32 AM (Wolf Kanno's Crazy Ramblings and Incoherent Statements)
I was having a serious reservation about whether I was going to add this to my Top 100 list or place it here. I decided it would go here for now, but part of me feels it could be like Demon's Souls and make the jump to My Top 100.

SaGa is a weird franchise. A JRPG series made for enthusiast who feel they've seen it all. From the Gameboy entries where you built a ragtag group filled with robots and monster to climb a tower/tree to visit ...

  10. A Break From The COVID-19 News

I mean, I think we deserve it. The virus is clouding the news, Facebook newsfeeds, and just media in general. The corona virus popped up in my Reddit timeline as well. Mastodon, not so much, Instagrams had a few mentions here and there. I am actually just self isolating myself, despite not even having travelled at all this year.
Iíve taken it upon myself to learn a computer language, I picked up the book Learn Python the Hard Way (3rd edition). I canít say that I hate it either, learning how ...
