Women's Month (video game edition)

My last review for February is already written, proofed and ready to be published on my blog on the 24th. After that I'm dedicating March (AKA Women's Month) to reviewing games with female leads. The list is as followed:

Mar 3rd: Tomb Raider [PSX]
Mar 10th: Metroid Prime [GCN]
Mar 17th: Bayonetta [X360]
Mar 24th: The Longest Journey [PC]
Mar 31st: Dreamfall: The Longest Journey [PC]

    I really want to play the Metroid Prime games someday. Maybe I'll get around to it.

    Bayonetta I wasn't a huge fan of the little I played a while back. I might give it a try again, though. I did write a paper in my freshman English course in college about the sexualization of women in video games using Bayonetta as an example though, haha. My teacher was all over that sort of thing and it got me an easy A. I may or may not have just made stuff up for that paper though.

    I almost didn't include Bayonetta on this list because of the sexualization, but pretty much everyone I talked to have noted her characterization is done well, one of my friends even going as far as to put her on par with Dante, which is a pretty big compliment coming from him. So I decided to include it.

    And Shion, you saying girls can't be poor boys? Sexist.

    No, girls can not be poor boys, becaus then they wouldnt be girls anymore!
    i do know what Metroid is, but i have never played it

    I have Metroid and Metroid Prime but I've never played them.
