Tomoyo After is on Greenlight

So after quite a lengthy silence following the initial localization announcement, Tomoyo After - the CLANNAD spin-off that continues Tomoyo's route - is finally on Steam Greenlight. It's set to be released sometime in Summer 2016. If you're interested in the game or just want to support it, consider giving it a vote

Seeing as how Tomoyo After is one of my all-time favorite visual novels I'll definitely be supporting it. Tomoyo After is criminally underread in the Key community, probably because the only currently translated version of it is 18+, so this all-ages official release will hopefully rectify that! If you've read or watched CLANNAD and you liked Tomoyo and/or are interested in seeing where the story continues after the route's conclusion, I certainly recommend it! For newcomers I recommend at the very least reading Tomoyo's route in CLANNAD before this, since it does build upon what is established there.

A couple smaller updates: Rewrite, also a Key visual novel, is getting an updated rerelease dubbed "Rewrite+". Hopefully this is the version we will be getting if the VN is ever set for an English localization!

Also, Sharin no Kuni is planned for an English release and will be kickstarted. It seems this is a controversial bit of news in the VN fandom since while Sharin no Kuni is a generally popular novel, a lot of the community has burnt out on Kickstarter and is getting pretty sick of it constantly being used for every other project. Especially with the giant Grisaia, CLANNAD and Muv-Luv kickstarters having set high standards. Also the publishing company is... Frontwing, a Japanese visual novel developer? What? Some people are calling cashgrab. I'll be cautiously optimistic for now since I do like Sharin no Kuni a lot.

I would defo play an all-ages version. The art style looks different though which is throwing me off a bit.

Any news on Little Busters being Steam released yet

I hear you. Tomoyo in particular looks so unfamiliar at first (not to mention she has a different voice actress which DOESN'T HELP) but as with most art styles ~you get used to it~.

Sadly no news on LB. I'll definitely post any updates on it as soon as I get my hands on some =P
