90% is a lot of %, but even so, I think I'll wait until the next ultrasound confirms it before I start picking out outfits and junk. In about eight weeks we get to see a 3D ultrasound, and then we'll find out if she looks like me or is actually attractive like her mother.

Closing funny: I was planning out how I'm going to instill in her a sense of nerdiness with Mindy the other day, basically groom her to love all the things I do, and she asked about what she'd get from her mother, to which I replied, "Oh, I forgot you were going to be a part of her life too." She did not find that as funny as I did.

We had a second ultrasound yesterday. It was pretty freaking great for a few good reasons.

1. We got to see an actual baby looking baby in there. It's only been four weeks since the first ultrasound but that kid's grown so much. S/he's gone from a little bean shaped thing to a little bean shaped thing with limbs. I believe I saw a nose as well!

2. The kid's a dancin' fool. Our OB had a student shadowing him and he let her play with the wand thing during the show. She had a bit of an issue finding, well, anything (there's like a Six Flags in there, I swear), so the doctor had to take over. Took two seconds for him to find the baby. What we saw was a bit reminiscent of the Ooga Chaka Baby.

Yes. That exact thing was happening in my girlfriend's uterus. :|

3. We got to hear the heartbeat this time. :shiny: That thing was a'poundin'! There's too much cardio going on in there. My kid's going to be more fit than me when he gets here.

It was pretty cool to hear, actually. It's easy to forget sometimes that behind that little bump there's a human being brewin', but seeing him or her move around and hearing their heartbeat is an amazing reminder of how real this is.

As a finisher, I'll leave you with this revelation I made today: I'm going to be a dad. Pretty crazy, huh? I'm going to be responsible for teaching this kid how to function on a daily basis, something I barely manage to do at 24. Mindy will be raising two kids, I think. I'm already planning out what I'm going to say to convince him that the adults get the toys in the Happy Meals.

Mindy and I spoke with an obstetrician on Friday and things are looking pretty good. That's my kid down there. :greenie:

I don't know if you're like me, but I can never figure these things out. I had to have the doctor explain it to me. You see that black void of nothingness surrounded by all that uterus television static? Well the baby is that little bean shaped thing hangin' out at the bottom of it.

It was pretty surreal watching this. All the doctor had to do was measure the length of the baby and the computer could figure out how far along she was (9 weeks as of today).

We also got to see the heartbeat, which was honestly the most exhilarating thing I've ever seen. I'm sure a lot of people would look at it and think that it's just a silly blip on the screen, but it's the first heartbeats of a new life, life that I helped create, and I got to see them! I didn't think it would be that big of a deal, not so much as movies and television portray it to be anyways, but I really felt a pang in my chest. There's a little person with a little heartbeat in there! The doctor tried letting us hear the heartbeat too. We couldn't, but just the fact that it's possible blows my mind!

Well, that's enough of the sappies. :roll2

So our due date is the 24th of October. I told Mindy that if she ends up having the baby on AC4's midnight release then she's having a mall baby. She was not amused by that.

I suppose I just want to address it so you all can keep up with what's going on in my life. I can't justify making a thread about it because where's the topic in that? "Have any unprotected sex lately?" Weird.

I won't be announcing it on Facebook as there are a whole lot of people I haven't told yet and that would be a terrible way to break the news, but also mostly because I would like to keep this as quiet as possible for now. I'm still processing it all and plans need to be made before I can release the floodgates to a whole lot of unwanted opinions. That said, I would kindly ask that any of you who are on my friend list please not post anything on my wall about this. That's what this blog is for.

So yeah, that's what's up with me lately. Just procreatin' and trout.

I recently thought up and wrote what I think to be an incredible story (It's even got a moral in it ).

That's where you, dear reader, come in. I need you to shatter my delusions of grandeur. I want you to read my story, now located in the Writer's Corner, and tell me everything wrong I did in it. I'll even link you here as I know most of you are lazy asses.

The Sea of Rage and the Hope

In all seriousness though, I know I have a lot of work to do before any of my writings are book-worthy but I feel like my usual viewers/readers are just patting my head anymore. I want some real critique so I don't have any misconceptions about my stories, I know my boy Wes will be on the ball with that. Basically I just want anyone who reads this to give me their honest opinion on it. Does the story stir any emotions in you? How well was it written? Did I repeat myself anywhere? Whatever you notice or feel when reading this, please, let me know. It would be greatly appreciated. :)

I get night-terrors on occasion. If you're unfamiliar with them they are waking nightmares basically. I don't really want to get into describing how they come about because it's all over my head really.

I used to have them a lot when I was a kid, now I'm lucky enough to only have one or two a year. I can't even begin to describe what I see or the fear I experience. I understand that different people have varying degrees of intensity. Mine get pretty bad and last longer than I'd like them to.

At first I would just get up and wander around but after a while I started fighting people. Sometimes I'd just get up and run and do my best not to get caught. The last few years, when I have one, I try to harm myself. It sounds weird, and the circumstances behind my reasoning while "under the influence" make it even weirder, but I have no control over myself at those times.

The last few years I've had what I call "waking night-terrors" in which I feel the way I do during a night-terror but I'm fully awake. It's really weird. My vision slows down, like everything is in slow motion, but I move and talk at normal speed, which makes me feel like I'm going super fast. It's like I'm on drugs or something, it's really strange. Sometimes I worry about living on my own and having one. Or if I'm sleeping over at a girlfriend's house and I have one. How would that play out?

I'm not really sure why I'm blogging this. I had one of those waking ones a moment ago, and about a week ago I had a full on night-terror. I don't like that I had two so close together. Ah well, one good thing from them is that I've gotten some interesting writing material from the :bou::bou::bou::bou: I've seen and felt. :monster:

I would go into detail about the things I've dreamt that cause them but this is weird enough to be blogging about here and putting it all out in public seems a bad idea. PM if any of you who may read this are curious about anything, though. I wouldn't mind talking about it privately with certain trusted people.

So I have a question for anyone who loves reading. How do you feel about a series that doesn't go in order? Like, say, if I wrote a book and the sequel was actually a prequel or a story that happened many books before the first.
