• Theatrhythm port confirmed!

Our bets were spot on: Final Fantasy Theatrhythm's teaser site was hinting at an iOS port. The teaser site is now a portal to information on both the 3DS and the iOS versions, but once again it seems Android is being left out of the mix.

The good news is that the Theatrhythm app is completely free to download. The bad news is that it's going to cost around $0.99 for each new song, which is going to quickly add up if you want the full experience. We haven't had a chance to test the iOS versions of the game out yet, but don't forget you can check our a first look at the 3DS version here.

Completely free? Wowsee. That's amazing. And at about a pound a song, that's not exactly extortionate.

Downloaded it. Tried it. Pretty sweet. Will give a full review later.

I've seen some things, like the new characters and whatnot. Just one thing, will any of the new features seen on the iOS version be put toward the 3DS version as well?

Free, yes. But you get precisely two songs, so...

I'm going to assume from Skyblade's point that this is definitely a Pick Up And Play style of iOS. You begin with two songs to tap around for abit, and then when the mood takes you, you can purchase some songs to add onto it if you wish.

This actually gives the player a great deal of choice. Don't like the song? Who cares! Don't buy it.
