When a child is born she must fight against the challenges of the world she lives in.
That's what I wanted to express.

TUESDAY, APRIL 7th - It's no secret to fans that renowned artist Yoshitaka Amano is perhaps most well-known for his work in the Final Fantasy series. Now, Ubisoft has teamed up with Amano's skills to create a new and unique poster for the Deluxe Edition release of Child of Light.

As a Japanese artist, Amano is revered by many as one of the most profound character designers and illustrators in the gaming world. He is a five-time winner of the Seiun Award for best science fiction published in Japan, and in 1999 won the Bram Stoker Award for his collaboration with Neil Gaiman on the Sandman: The Dream Hunters comic novella. Amano has been designing for the Final Fantasy franchise since the release of the series origin in 1987. His collection of Final Fantasy works titled The Sky: The Art of Final Fantasy was published in 2002 and re-released in 2013, and the hardcover version includes 576 pages of his artistic devotion to the series.

Watch as Amano demonstrates his exceptional skills in action below!

The completed artwork measures 16 9/16 inches x 23 3/8 inches (594.4 cm x 42 cm) and will be paired the Child of Light Deluxe Edition, which releases on April 30th for PC, PlayStation 3 & 4, Xbox 360 & Xbox One, and Wii U for $14.99.

Looks brilliant. I've always loved Amano's art style since I was a teenager. Child of Light also looks like an excellent game. I will have to get it someday as I've been missing a good JRPG. I actually don't think I've played a single one from the last generation.

This particular work seems a bit ominous and creepy to me! Maybe that's why I like it.

He has such a unique style that just is "him" that I haven't really seen other artist replicate. And that I think matters the most as an artist.
