Created by Akitoshi Kawazu in 1989, the SaGa series originated on the Game Boy in and has since expanded across multiple platforms, from the Super Nintendo Entertainment System to the PlayStation 2. The SaGa series is notable for its emphasis on open world exploration, non-linear branching plots, and occasionally unconventional gameplay, which has distinguished the series from most of Square's other titles. There are currently nine games in the SaGa series, along with several ports and enhanced remakes.
The items are currently available for pre-order, some of which will ship in July. Other pieces, including the teacups, will ship this October. Pre-orders will remain open for these limited edition pieces until June 2nd.
DC Comics Variant Mini-Figures
Square Enix has released the first look at their DC Comics Variant Static Arts mini figures. Figures recently unveiled include Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman, and are all fashioned after the Variant Play Arts Kai figures.
Details about size, scale, price and release date have yet to be announced. Let's hope for later this year!
Pre-orders are now being accepted at the Square Enix store for the Final Fantasy Variant Play Arts Kai Dragoon figurine.
The figure measures 10" tall and comes with a Dragoon spear, sword, two different grip and open hands, with a display stand. This figurine retails for $130 and will be available on September 30th.
A Hero of Light is set to join the rest of the Variant line later this month. Keep your eye out for it!
What do you think about the latest merchandise Square Enix is offering? Do any of them catch your eye? Those porcelain plates look just gorgeous to me, I'd love to have a geeky set of dinnerware.
