Onion Kid Junky, but cute |
|
No Magic | |
Commands: Fight, Defend, Run, Item
They start out like this. Very cute, but VERY lame. Switch em away from these when you get classes. |
Fighter He's back, and he's PISSED |
|
No Magic | |
Commands: Fight, Defend, Run, Item
This class is good for something OTHER than fighting!!! Not really... They are good at what they do, even though what they do isn't very nice. |
Monk More fightin', less buyin' |
|
No Magic | |
Commands: Fight, Defend, Run, Item
The monk is a lovely thing. He doesn't use any weapons, so you don't need to buy him any! Plus, he's really strong. He's basically a cheap, low maintenance version of the fighter. |
White Wizard Keep your men alive... |
|
White Magic levels 1-7 | |
Commands: Fight, Magic, Run, Item
He is the staple of every effective party. He is essential to life. He is the Healer. The one that will heal your warriors when they are down. You will need him. |
Black Wizard Hey! He looks like Vivi! O_o |
|
Black Magic levels 1-7 | |
Commands: Fight, Magic, Run, Item
While not as essential as the White Wizard, you WILL need some Black Wizards in your party at some point (especially some points in the game where physical attacks aren't useful...). They use offensive magic. |
Red Wizard The Me of FF Job Classes |
|
White or Black Magic levels 1-4
Commands: Fight, Magic, Run, Item
The Red Wizard is the one that reminds me most of me. He'll try a little bit of anything, but he sucks at everything. >=) heh heh. He can use both White and Black magic, and can equip some half-decent armor and weapons. Nice at the beginning of the game, but after a while... you just stop needing him. |
Archer Playing the game with the bravery of being out of range |
|
Most White Magic levels 1-3
Commands: Fight, Defend, Magic, Item
The Archer is not a bad guy to have around, but he's not entirely useful, either. He gets some pretty nifty arrows, and can attack very well from the back row. Plus he wears a funny little hat! =) |
Knight Now I have a cape! Watch out, baby! |
|
No Magic | |
Commands: Fight, Defend, Run, Item
If you liked the Fighter... you'll LOVE the Knight! Cause he's..... the exact same thing! Only Knighty can use some HQ (high quality) weapons and armor. |
Thief Don't worry! I'm just... BORROWING this potion... |
|
No Magic | |
Commands: Fight, Steal, Escape, Item
Evem though he can't use magic or fight very well, Thief is an incredibly useful guy once in a while. He can steal useful (ok, mostly crappy) items from bad guys, and open locked doors while on point (remember taking Locke back to Narshe in the WoR?) Also, Escape is more likely to work than Run. |
Scholar Knowledge is Power... usually |
|
No Magic | |
Commands: Fight, Peep, Scan, Item
Ok, I'll level with you. The Scholar sucks. Like... a lot. He's good for ONE fight, and that's it. He can use the special skills "Peep" and "Scan." Peep check HP and MP of the monster, while Scan checks weaknesses. They're essential for this one MagiMaster-type fight, but after that it's all over, baby. You can hang em up with your Underwater Materia and most of Zidane's "Skills." |
Geomancer Let me hurt you... with my BELL! |
|
No Magic | |
Commands: Fight, Terrain, Run, Item
I think I forgot if these guys were ever useful or not. Probably not. Terrain lets you use the power of the terrain of the current battle. Like if the background is underwater, Geo will use a water attack. Good idea, but the actual fighter is meh. |
Dragoon Love these guys... |
|
No Magic | |
Commands: Fight, Jump, Defend, Item
Like the flying dragon, the Dragoon leaps through the air to land on his foes with his mighty lance. This is REALLY good against flying enemies. Plus he looks darn cool (not as cool as Kain, but he's pretty good...) |
Viking Is he what I THINK he is..? |
|
No Magic | |
Commands: Fight, Defend, Run, Item
Hey! It's a Dwarf! How COOL is that? The Viking can equip High Power weapons like Axes and stuff, and.... that's prettymuch it. I think I woke up my dad many a night shouting "LALI-HO, YOU PIECE OF CRAP MONSTER!! AH HAHAHAA!!!" at my computer. Heh. |
Master I, too, have a cape. |
|
No Magic | |
Commands: Fight, Build Up, Defend, Item
Just like the name says, man. He's a Master. Basically a buffed-up version of the Monk, the Master can now equip some lovely Claws to aide in his search for the pain of others. Make sure you equip TWO claws though, or his attack will go down. Build Up makes him skip a turn to do double damage the next turn. |
MKnight (AKA Paladin) |
|
Most White Magic levels 1-3
Commands: Fight, Defend, Magic, Item
Apart from the obvious fact that they LOOK freaking awesome, the Mknight uses Katanas (Masamune!!) to attack his enemies! There are also a couple dungeons where the monsters will multiply every time you attack them if you're not an MKnight. |
Conjurer Ouch! I'm gonna go tell my friend Ifrit on you! |
|
All Summon Magic (weak)
Commands: Fight, Magic, Run, Item
Here he is, people. THIS is the guy your GFs and your Espers and your Eidolons all followed around like a loyal doggy. The very FIRST appearance of the Summoner-type Job class. He can use all summons, but not very well. |
Bard The ULTIMATE KILLING MACHINE!! |
|
No Magic | |
Commands: Sing, Scare, Cheer, Item
You never need to worry when fighting Behemoths and Red Dragons as long as you have the Bard in your party!! He'll knock them all out with a single attack! Wait... he doesn't HAVE an attack command!? Well, I guess I've been found out then. *sigh* Bard sucks. Well, he's got some nice abilities to supplement the other fighters and mages (Sing: Bard's version of attacking; Scare: Make enemies run; Cheer: Rouse the party), but a party of 4 Bards against Zande... no. |
Warlock He'll kill you, man. |
|
All Black Magic | |
Commands: Fight, Magic, Run, Item
The Warlock is the upgraded Black Wizard. It's SO COOL having one of these guys in your party. He uses all the ultimate Black Magic, and.... yeah! That's all ya need. >=) |
Shaman Ph33r my 1337 h3411ng sk1llzz.... or something |
|
All White Magic | |
Commands: Fight, Magic, Run, Item
Shaman is the upgraded version of the White Wizard. He is more than useful. |
Summoner I'm tired. Bahamut, take care of this one for me. |
|
All Summon Magic (strong)
Commands: Fight, Magic, Run, Item
The Summoner is able to use the full effect of the Summon Monsters. Totally awesome. |
Sage God of Magic |
|
All Magic | |
Commands: Fight, Magic, Run, Item
The Sage is simply... ultimate. He can use all types of Magic all of the time. Therefore, the only limitation is space. But after you cast Life2, followed next turn by Flare.... I think you'll forgive him. |
Ninja God of Fighting |
|
No Magic | |
Commands: Fight, Defend, Run, Item
Think about it like this: He can equip Masamune and Ragnarok at the same time. Need I say more? |
