In a recent interview with the European branch of Square-Enix, Type-0 Director Hajime Tabata confirmed that Type-0's original theme song ZERO, performed by Japanese Rock band Bump of Chicken would remain unaltered in all versions of Type-0 to be released next March.
Some fans wondered since some of Square-Enix's previous theme song's received either dubs like Eyes on Me or Melodies of Life, while recent console entry FFXIII was given a new theme song performed by Leona Lewis. Tabata decided he wanted to keep the theme the same for fans of the original PSP release to keep the original's feel. Bump of Chicken also agreed and wished to keep the song unchanged for the HD release. The song will now feature subtitles so non-Japanese speaking fans can understand and appreciate the song's meaning and connection to the game's overall themes. Here's the song in question for Western fans who haven't had the chance to listen to this gorgeous song.
Final Fantasy Type-0 HD releases March 2015 first in North America and then Japan and PAL regions. It is directed by Hajime Tabata who is also the director of Crisis Core: FFVII and Final Fantasy XV.
