• Getting the flying upgrade wont be easy in FF XV

In the recent Gameinformer, director of Final Fantasy XV, Hajime Tabata, sat down to talk about the Regalia and it's new winged features. Don't worry fans, it wont be something that you will get from the beginning.

At the recent Final Fantasy XV Uncovered event, we were shown a trailer that showed the first ever full drive-able car in a Final Fantasy game sprout wings and fly off into the sky. Many of our own users were impressed:

In the recent Gameinformer interview, Hajime Tabata gave us a few more details on this upgrade to the Regalia. This upgrade wont be easy to get, according to Tabata. It also wont be able to be upgraded early in the game. This leads us to believe, naturally, that it will be available near the end of the game like most airships are in the Final Fantasy series, and if past experiences can be learned from, there may be a series of challenges to accomplish before then as well. He also informed us that we wont have to worry about any monsters in the sky but we will need to worry about how to land the thing.

Don't forget that you will be able to tune into classic Final Fantasy songs on the car's radio as you cruise around. You will actually be able to fly while being an actual angel, compared to that One Winged Angel variety.

Final Fantasy XV will be available on Xbox One and Playstation 4 on September 30th. If you're curious about how the game plays, check out the Platinum Demo which is available to download now!

What do you think the challenges will be to get the carship? Any thoughts on flying around? Any more improvements you think need to be made to the Regalia? Share!

So we can fly around in the air while listening to One Winged Angel ? Sounds like a must !

That's for the best. It ruins exploration if it's easy to get. Even in Xenoblade X, where it took ages to get the skells, it still kinda ruined exploration once you'd got them.

Limitations on a flying vehicle are fine, but some kind of easily accessible fast travel to locations you have already visited is basically required for a game this big.
