• Final Fantasy XIV/Yo-Kai Watch Crossover

Square Enix announced there will be crossover content between Final Fantasy XIV and Yo-Kai Watch. Thirteen new Yo-Kai inspired weapons (one for each job) will appear in Final Fantasy XIV, as well as Yo-Kai themed minions and a Whisper Mount. The minions will be easy to collect, but the weapons will be a harder get.

For Yo-Kai Watch 3, there will be Final Fantasy themed fusions of Jibanyan called Chocobonyan and Mooglinyan. The game is set for release in Japan in July, which will coincide with the release of the crossover content. While Yo-Kai Watch 3 doesn't have a Western release, fret not Final Fantaseers, the Final Fantasy XIV content will see non-Asian release.

It should be noted that Level 5 studios, makers of the Yo-Kai Watch series, also developed Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King for Square Enix in 2004. Below are images of some of the weapons and the Yo-Kai characters.

YKW is the lamest cutest show I've seen. It's more pointless than Pokemon... but at least it's humorous.

I want all those weapons. The Monk flaming rabbit ear fists is my favorite.

It's a JRPG. There was one released in the west on the DS, the first one I think. Not sure if any others will get a non-Japanese release, but maybe if this proves popular, they might.

There was also an anime adaptation last year I think. It's a Pokemon sort of deal.
