Reward | 300 gil, Potion x2, Teleport Stone, Handful of Galbana Lillies
This is the only mark that's part of the main storyline. Rogue Tomato is found is the Dalmasca Estersand. All you have to do is attack with your weapons to take it down. Rank 1 | Wolf in the Waste
Thextera | Level 6 | HP 380 |
Petitioner | Gatsly, found at the Sandsea Tavern in Rabanastre
Reward | 500 gil, Headguard, Teleport Stone
Thextera is found in the Galtea Downs section of the Dalmasca Westersand. When you find him he will be surrounded by a few regular wolves. Take as many of them out as you can before attracting Thextera's attention. Continue to do so until they are gone. Then begin attacking Thextera. When his HP gets low he will sometimes use a strong attack called Saber so keep your HP up as his goes down. |
Rank 1 | Dalmasca's Desert Bloom
Flowering Cactoid | Level 4 | HP 755 |
Petitioner | Dantro, at the Outpost of the Dalmasca Estersand
Reward | 500 gil, Potion x10, Cactus Flower
Flowering Cactoid is found in the Yardang Labyrinth just North of the Outpost. This mark can be pretty difficult because as you fight the monster will run all over the map. This causes several of the local monsters to attack you as well. Keep your HP up and attack until it falls. Just before it dies the Flowering Cactoid will use a 1000 Needles attack that will kill one of your party members unless they have over 1000 HP. Chances are they don't so you'll just have to take the loss. The Cactus Flower item opens up a new sidequest. |
Rank 1 | Waterway Haunting

Nidhogg is in the Lhusu Mines next to Bhujerba. Go to the area called Transitway One and you'll find an area where you can keep going straight or split off to the North. This is where you'll find him. He can poison you frequently and once his HP gets low he becomes much faster and harder to hurt. Try and save your Quickenings until then. After killing it you will recieve the Great Serpeantskin item which is used in the Patient in the Desert sidequest. |
Rank 5 | Lost in the Pudding
White Mousse | Level 15 | HP 69469 |
Petitioner | Sorbert, at Rabanastre's Westgate
Reward | 2800 gil, Yoichi Bow, Sluice Gate Key
This is your first hard mark. The White Mousse can be found by going into the Garasmythe Waterway's West Sluice Control area from the East entrance. When fighting watch out for Blindness, Poison, and Water spells. The Fire spell works well against it. After winning the fight you'll get the Broken Key which needs to be brought back to Sorbet to trade for the Sluice Gate Key. |
Rank 3 | For Whom the Wyrm Tolls
Ring Wyrm | Level 32 | HP 128648 |
Petitioner | Balzac, in the Northern Sprawl of Lowtown
Reward | 200 gil, Moon ring, Icebrand
The Windtrace Dunes in the Dalmasca Westersands is where you'll find the ring Wyrm. Make sure you go when there is a sandstorm or it won't be around. When fighting you'll want to cast dispel on it to get rid of it's status effects and equip items resistant to Fire. If possible, equip something that heals fire damage. It will be a long fight so it's a good idea to brind along ethers to restore MP. |
Rank 2 | The Defense of Ozmone Plain
Enkelados | Level 22 | HP 18709 |
Petitioner | Sugumu, in the Elderknoll of Jahara
Reward | 1100 gil, Ether, Golden Amulet, Errmonea Leaf
Enkelados can be found in the Ozmone Plain section known as the Shred. Talking to a warrior in the town of Jahara will let you know that the monster hates creatures called Wu. When you get to The Shred several Wu creatures will be in the area. During the fight it will cast Protect and Shell so be sure to dispel those. Any status affects you cast on yourself will be dispelled by him as well. Other than that it's a pretty straight forward fight. It's spinning attack can harm everyone, but it's not a hard monster to wear down. After killing it, the monster will drop a Errmonea leaf. Talk to Low Chief Sugumu about it and he'll ask you to take it to someone named Lesina in Giza Village. Go there during the dry season with it to recieve two remedies. |

Petitioner | Sadeen, in the Nomad Village of Giza Plains during The Rains
Reward | 1200 gil, Serpent Rod, Teleport Stone, Ring of the Toad
The rainy season it the only time the Croakadile monster will show up. Walk across the bridge in Starfall fields and it will ambush you. Attack Physically and with Fire spells. Be careful of the Growing Threat ability it will use when it's close to death to double it's levels. Once dead, you get the Ring of the Toad which needs to be brought back to Sadeen. He'll want you to go to the Nomad Village with it during the dry season to give to Elder Brunoa. Ater talking, wait for the rainy season again and talk to Sadeen one more time. |
Rank 2 | The Dead Ought Sleep Forever
Ixtab | Level 24 | HP 22562 |
Petitioner | High Chief Zayalu, in the Elderknoll of Jahara
Reward | 1300 gil, Ether, Soul Powder
To find Ixtab go into the Henne Mines from the Ozmone Plains. Where you're heading is the Southeast part of the Phase One mine shaft. The only thing to worry about in this fight is the occassional stop spell, and maybe Doom. Otherwise, just take it down hit point by hit point. It shouldn't be too hard. |
Rank 3 | Befoulment of the Beast
Feral Retriever | Level 28 | HP 22559 |
Petitioner | Hymms, in the Sand Strewn Pass of Mt. Bur-Omisace
Reward | 1500 gil, Recurve Crossbow, Teleport Stone
Near the Stilshrine of Mariam in the Paramina Rift is where you need to go. This monster uses several status affects against your party, especially one that can petrify everybody. It can also cast Balance when it's near death to greatly increase it's HP. Make sure to have Esunaga learned and have someone equiped with protection against petrify during the fight. |
Rank 3 | A Chase Through the Woods
Vorpal Bunny | Level 31 | HP 20010 |
Petitioner | Nera, in Eruyt Village of The Spiritwood
Reward | 2000 gil, Lightning Arrows, Gillie Boots, Rabbit's Tail
The Vorpal Bunny runs around the Rustlin Chapel section of The Spiritwood. It's hard to keep still long enough to deal much damage to it and several skeletons spawn in the area. Set your fastest character with a Gambit to berserk it as fast as possible. This will cause it to stop running for a short time. Then have everyone attack. Continue this several times until it's finally dead. Return the Rabbit's Tail you get to Nera. |
Rank 4 | The Mine Flayer | |
Mindflayer | Level 35 | HP 31161 |
Petitioner | Warrior Guromu, in the Lull of the Land of Jahara
Reward | 2200 gil, Carmagnole
Once again we have to enter the Henne Mines from the Ozmone Plains. The time we're heading for the Southern section of the Phase One dig site to fight the Mindflayer. This monster can use invert which can switch a party members HP with it's MP so you need to make sure it stays berserked the whole time. That will also prevent it from casting it's other status effect spells. When it's almost dead the monster uses an ability that refills all of it's HP and gives it several status effects. Use Dispel to get rid of them and then Berserk again to keep it from using magic. Once you bring it's HP down all the way a second time it stays dead. |
Rank 5 | The Deserter's Revenge
Bloodwing | Level 37 | HP 41171 |
Petitioner | Prisoner No. 381, in the South Bank Village of the Dalmasca Estersands
Reward | 2400 gil, Stun Bombs, Vampyr Fang
Bloodwing can be found in the West Annex of the Barheim Passage. In the South of this area is a thin piece of land running East to West where it's found. You'll have to bring ranged weapons because it flies. Be sure to avoid the undead hanging around while looking for it. The easiest way to take him out is to use Blind and Silence so it can't really do much damage. Make sure you quickly take out any undead that join the fight before they can cause too much damage, then continue to attack the monster. |
Rank 3 | Trouble in the Hills
Atomos | Level 33 | HP 40020 |
Petitioner | Burrough, in the Jajim Bazaar of Nalbina
Reward | 1800 gil, Gaia Rod, Diamond Shield
Atomos is a pretty easy monster to take out. He's found at the top of the Northern Skirts section of the Mosphoran Highwaste. Cast Dispel to get rid of his status effects when he uses them, use protect to take less damage from his attacks, and take away his HP until it's gone. |
Rank 6 | Adding Insult to Injury
Roblon | Level 43 | HP 177365 |
Petitioner | Morgen, inside Nalbina Fortress
Reward | 3100 gil, Giant's Helmet, Mythril
Roblon is in the Nabreus Deadlands, which is full of very strong monsters. To get to him you'll have to find a hidden passageway in the Northwest part of the Slumbermead section. This hidden path leads to the Overlooking Eternity section through the Fog Mutters section. You'll find Roblon in the middle of Overlooking Eternity. It attacks with spells from all elements so there's no real defense here. Instead, use spells to lower his defense and Slow if you can. There's not much more you can do to make this an easier mark. |
Rank 4 | Rodeo to the Death
Braegh | Level 35 | HP 43283 |
Petitioner | Va' Kansa, in the Babbling Vale of the Mosphoran Highwaste
Reward | 1700 gil, Obelisk, Hi-Ether
To get to Braegh you first have to kill the King Bomb at the bridge in the Grand Bower section of the Salikawood. Once that's done go to the Corridor of Ages section of the Salikawood. It's pretty close to the Necrohal of Nabudis. While fighting it can use a Magic Shield that makes all magic attacks useless, so you'll want to get a Silence spell out as soon as possible to keep it from casting status effects on you. It can also cast Invert. If your lucky you can cast reflect on everyone and the invert spell will hit him instead, but you have to time it right or you won't be able to heal yourself and that's disastrous. Physical attacks and Quickenings are the best way to take it out. After killing it and talking to Va' Kansa again, go to the Phon Coast and look for a man named Hawker. Talk to him and then go back and talk to Va' Kansa to end this mark. |
Rank 4 | Shelled Obstruction
Darksteel | Level 38 | HP 1113311 |
Petitioner | Customer inside Vint's Armaments store inside Archades.
Reward | 3000 gil, Lead Bolts, Adamantite
From Old Archades go into the Sochen Cave Palace and head to the Temptation Eluded section. There you will find Darksteel. It's common sense by now to cast Dispel against these monsters when they have Protect or Shell on them. Otherwise just take down it's HP. When it's close to dying it will cast a lot of Dark spells, so have something equipped that prevents the status effect instead of wasting items. |
Rank 5 | Get My Stuff Back!
Vyraal | Level 41 | HP 106616 |
Petitioner | Viera in The Whitecap of Balfonheim Port
Reward | 3500 gil, Halberd, Crystal Shield, Viera Rucksack, Dragon Scale
The Viera will join you in this mark and attack with a bow. Vyraal is found in The Northsward section of Cerobi Steppe, towards the center of the map. This is a straight forward fight. Use ranged weapons and whichever status effects you fancy and take it out. Once you kill it you will recieve the Viera Rucksack and the Dragon Scale. Give the rucksack back to the Viera petitioner. The Dragon Scale will be used in theWyrm Philosopher sidequest. |
Rank 5 | Old Legends, Decaying Bonds
Lindwyrm | Level 39 | HP 228468 |
Petitioner | Fermon, in the Alley of Muted Sighs from Archades
Reward | 4200 gil, Barrel Coat, Hi-Either, Rusted Scrap of Armor
Lindwyrm will only appear in the Tchiti Upland's Garden of Life's Circle if the weather is cloudy. If it's sunny or rainy leave the area and come back until the clouds are out. It's main attacks are Thunder based and it also uses status effect spells, especially stone. Rumor has it the best way to take it out is to use spells that lower it's magic defense, and then put it to sleep. From there have everyone use magic to kill it. |
Rank 6 | The Things We Do...
Overlord | Level 42 | HP 64325 |
Petitioner | Seeq inside Bulward's Technicks at Archades
Reward | 3500 gil, Hi-Ether x2, Teleport Stone
Overlord is in the Doubt Abandoned room in Sochen Cave Palace. The Seeq petitioner will help with this fight, but he's pretty weak. Make sure you use something that protects against fire attacks and use any status affects you can to weaken it, then attack it physically until it falls. |
Rank 6 | The Creature Collector
Goliath | Level 48 | HP 2242294 |
Petitioner | Barrong, in the West Ward of Nalbina Fortress
Reward | 3600 gil, Save the Queen, Einherjarium
This mark is in the beginning of the Necrohal of Nebudis, which is full of strong monsters. All of it's attacks are magical so a strong magic defense is a good idea. Also be sure to protect against disable. Use magic attacks while it's magic barrier is up, and then spells while it's down. |
Rank 6 | Dead City Watch | |
Deathscythe | Level 44 | HP 125601 |
Petitioner | Popol, in the Jajim Bazaar of Nalbina Fortress
Reward | 2800 gil, Hi-Ether x2, Soul of Thamasa
The Deathscythe is also in the Necrohal of Nabudis, but in the Cloister of the Highborn. It doesn't stick to a certain area, and most of the time can't be found. To get it to come out your party has to be low on HP. Walk around with a party low on HP and then heal as soon as it appears. That's the hardest part to this mark. After that it's not too difficult to kill. Just attack until it runs out of HP. |
Rank 7 | Visitor on Deck | |
Deathgaze | Level 50 | HP 184000 |
Petitioner | The traveling boy in the Aerodomes
Reward | 3400 gil, Elixer x2
This mark can be difficult to track down. Throughout the game there is a boy that travels from place to place in the Aerodomes. Talk to the boy in the aerodome he's at and he'll say he saw the mark. Now, you have to go on the airship to the next aerodome the boy is going to. When you get there talk to the boy again. Repeat this a few times and eventually Deathgaze will be in the same place you are and attack your airship. You then will be asked if you want to fight it. There's a trick to killing it quickly but it's not easy to do. Cast reverse on it. Immediately cast Renew right afterwards. At this point Deathgaze will try to cast Restore on itself. If you're fast enough you can have your third character kill it with Bio or Scourge. It's hard to time just right, but easier than taking away all 184000 HP the monster has. |
Rank 7 | The Child Snatcher
Diablos | Level 46 | HP 93551 |
Petitioner | Miclio, in the Miner's End of Bhujerba
Reward | 2600 gil, Demon Shield, Zeus Mace
To do this mark you first need to finish Montblanc's Antlion Infestation mark. After that's done, you can use the Site 11 key you get to reach Diablos. Use the key to get into Site 11 of the Lhusu Mines. While fighting he uses fire spells and can also absorb fire based attacks. Use slow and attack to kill him. |
Rank 5 | The Black Sorceror
Piscodaemon | Level 46 | HP 49660 |
Petitioner | Ivaness, in the Temple Grounds of Mt. Bur-Omisace
Reward | 3800 gil, Dark Shot, Scathe Mote
Look in the Gate of Fire section of Giruvegan for the Piscodaemon. It will constantly use status effects on you so bring plenty of items to cure them and just physically attack to take it out. |
Rank 6 | A Wild Stench | |
Wild Malboro | Level 50 | HP 110842 |
Petitioner | Rena, in Eruyt Village of The Spiritwood
Reward | 4600 gil, Euclid's Sextant
Like any Malboro you have to expect to get hit with Bad Breath in this fight and then cure all the negative statuses. Find it in Feywood's Redolent Glade and fight it like any other Malboro. |
Rank 6 | Paying for the Past
Catoblepas | Level 46 | HP 187991 |
Petitioner | War Chief Supinelu, in the Land of the Garif of Jahara
Reward | 3200 gil, Volcano, Artic Wind
At the Zertinan Caverns there is a secret passageway in the Southern part of the Hourglass Basin. It leads to a ledge on the East side. The only thing notable to mention about this mark is to cast dispel against his status effects, which by now should be common practice against all marks. |
Rank 7 | Wyrm Wrath's Renewal
Fafnir | Level 68 | HP 1390378 |
Petitioner | Leeha and Relj, in the Temple Approach of Mt. Bur-Omisace
Reward | 7000 gil, Assassin's Arrows, Teleport Stone, Ring of Light
There has to be a heavy snow in the Silverflow's End of Paramina Rift for Fafnir to appear. Like most of the later marks this one will use a lot of status effect spells against the party. By now you should also regularly be using Bubble Belts and casting Bubble during these monster fights as well. This one is hard, especially once it looses half it's health and starts using Shock for massive damage. There's no easy way to win this mark. Have one main character with Decoy cast on them to take most of the damage and give it out as well, while the other two support him with Esuna, healing, and anything else they might need. Just continue to fight and heal until it eventually dies. |
Rank 7 | Whos' the Strongest
Pylraster | Level 63 | HP 493513 |
Petitioner | Rikken, in the Saccio Lane of Balfonheim
Reward | 8000 gil, Grand Mace, Scathe Mote x2
The last of the regular marks. To get it you have to win a race against the petitioner, which also opens up a new sidequest. Pylraster is in the first Ascent of The Pharos. To find him you have to use the crystals to get to the They Who Thirst Not section. Be sure to cast slow on it and have the main damage taker have a sword and shield equiped to take as little damage as possible. Have the other two use magic defense reducing spells and Fire. When it's HP get down to half it will used Growing Threat to double it's levels and gets much faster. Continue to slow him and haste your fighters as well as keeping yourself with high HP using healing spells, bubble belts, and the Bubble spell. |
Rank 1 | Little Love on the Big Plains
Monster Cluckatrice | Level 15 | HP 7509 |
Petitioner | Dania, in the Giza Plains
Reward | 1000 gil, Jackboots, Rainbow Egg
To get the Cluckatrice to appear you have to cross the river in the Giza Plains and kill all the monsters. Then leave and come back to the area. The monster will have three baby chickens and caste stone spells. Bring items to cure the status effect. It's easiest to take out the little chickens first to reduce the damage you take, and then concentrate on the big momma. |
Rank 1 | The Cry of it's Power
Rocktoise | Level 16 | HP 17658 |
Petitioner | Pilika, in the Khus Skygrounds of Bhujerba
Reward | 1200 gil, Hi-Potion x2, Heavy Coat
Site Two of the Lhusu Mines is where you go to find this mark. It will be in the wide open area to the North. Have two characters with long range weapons and another with a shield equiped to take it down while taking as little damage as possible. |
Rank 5 | Crime and Punishment
Orthros | Level 34 | HP 87141 |
Petitioner | Man in the North Sprawl of Rabanastre
Reward | 3800 gil, Horakhty's Flame, Unpurified Ether, Stolen Articles, Blackened Fragment
Orthros will only be there if your party is all females. To get to it, lower the water in the Number 10 channel, then follow the pathway that opens up. It will only attack females so you can either make a party of the three girls, or walk into the area with just one of them in your party, then add another two males once the fight begins. When fighting, Dispel and then lower it's magic resistence and have everyone use the strongest fire spells you have to kill it quick. |
Rank 3 | Paradise Risen | |
Gil Snapper | Level 37 | HP 86956 |
Petitioner | Nanau, in the Crystal Glade of Giza during The Rains
Reward | 3000 gil, Phobos Glaze
This mark can only be done in the rainy season. To reach the Gil Snapper you have to create a land bridge tha reaches a previously unaccessable island. There are six dead trees near the river that can be knocked over with the "X" button. When they are all down you'll be able to walk across them to the island called Tracks of the Beast. The monster will then only appear during the heaviest of rains. You'll know it's the right time because a member of Clan Centurio will join your party. Fight the same as you did when marking the Rocktoise and it will slowly die. Be sure to check all the urns in the area for the Feather of the Flock item, which opens a sidequest. When the monster is defeated it will drop a soggy letter. The letter will tell you to return to the Nomad Village in the Dry Season as soon as possible. |
Rank 5 | Paramina Run | |
Trickster | Level 44 | HP 61321 |
Petitioner | Gurdy, in the Sand-strewn Pass of Mt. Bur-Omisace
Reward | 4800 gil, Deimos Clay
The Trickster is a giant invisible chocobo found near the Frozen Brook in the Paramina Rift. Another of Clan Centuros members will help you take down this monster. Trickster is immune to status effects and will use an ability that blocks physical damage when it gets down to about 25% HP. It can also start using Choco-comet when it's HP drops that low, which causes a lot of damage. Normally it attacks with strong magic spells. Try to silence it so it can't use them and also to blind it so it can't hit you. When Trickster's HP starts to get close to 25% the best thing to do is use a Quickening chain to hopefully take it all the way out. Otherwise, it's best to just stay in the narrowest part of the rift and wait for the monster to run by before targeting it. |
Rank 5 | Antlion Infestation
Antlion | Level 37 | HP 106499 |
Petitioner | Niray, in the Staras House of Bhujerba
Reward | 4300 gil, Bubble Belt, Sickle-Blade
Talking to the petitioner will get you the Site 3 key for the Lhusu Mines, which is where you'll walk through to find the Antlion. Get to Site 3 from Site 2, continue to Site 9, and walk all until it dead ends. Before fighting it be sure to kill all the Killer Mantises first. The Antlion can eat them to grow much stronger. When it's close to dying the monster wil start using disable, so switch a characters equipment to prevent the status and be ready to cure the others. After killing it, the Site 11 key will fall to the Phon Coast. You can find it there to be able to reach another mark's mark. |
Rank 7 | Carrot Stalk | |
Carrot | Level 49 | HP 110842 |
Petitioner | Zammadria, in the Aerodome at Nalbina Fortress
Reward | 5200 gil, Stink Bombs, Putrid Liquid
Carrot is a giant Malboro found in the Sun-Dappled Path of the Salikawook. It won't show up if you kill any monsters on the way, o you'll have to run through the area to reach it. As soon as the fight starts you'll want to cast Dispel. Also be ready to get hit with several status effects so be ready to cure those, especially stop. Towards the end of the fight it will use Growing Threat to double it's levels, but if you use a Quickening chain when it does it shouldn't be any problem. |
Rank 6 | Battle on the Big Bridge
Ancient Man of Mystery | Level 45 | HP 123103 |
Petitioner | Montblanc himself
Reward | 10000 gil, Masamune
This is a mark that involves killing two monsters at the same time. They are found in the Tasche Span of the Lhusu Mines. The wolf is easier to kill so take it out first, saving your Quickenings for Gilgamesh. Like most marks, he will use a special ability when his HP gets low. The ability is Perfect Defense, and it makes him invulnerable until he uses Monarch Sword Twice. Be sure to heal all the way up during this time. Once he's almost dead he will run away and you will need the the Site 11 key gotten from the Antlion mark to chase him. During this first part of the fight you can steal from Gilgamesh five different times, getting a Potion, X-Potion, 1000 gil, or 2000 gil at first. When he's down to 2/5 of his life left you can steal a Genji Shield, and then at 1/5 HP left you can steal a Genji Glove. For the second half of this mark, use the Site 11 key to open a locked gate in Site 9 of the Lhusu Mines. Both the wolf and Gilgamesh will be back. Once again take the wolf out as fast as possible, any way you can. After that it's much of the same with Gilgamesh. This time when he has 2/5 HP left you can steal a Genji Helm and at 1/5 HP you can steal Genji Armor. |
Rank 5 | A Dark Rumor | |
Belito | Level 49 | HP 115659 |
Petitioner | Montblanc himself
Reward | 5100 gil, Megalixer
To find Belito you need to get to the Nam-Yensa Sandsea from the Ogir-Yensa Sandsea through the Zertinan Caverns. Start in the Ogir-Yensa Sandsea, go to the Zertinan Caverns through the Central Junction entrance, and exit into a secret spot of the Nam-Yensa Sandsea. A member of the Centurio Clan will join the party and you'll be ambushed by Bwagi, Ba'Gamnan, Rinok, and Gijuk. Ba'Gamnon is the strongest so save him for last. Other than that it's basic status effects, dispels, and heals. |
Rank 7 | Truth Shrouded in Mist
Behemoth King | Level 70 | HP 1668491 |
Petitioner | Koqmihn, in Dalan's house, Rabanastre's Lowtown
Reward | 500250 gil, Bacchus's Wine, Rod of Faith
Go to the Edge of Reason in the Feywood. You have to quickly kill all the monsters here and exit to the Ice Field of Clear Sight before new monster can respawn. In here do the same, only exit back to the Edge of Reason after killing everyone. The Behemoth King should be there. While fighting he will switch between being immune to attacks and being immune to magic so you have to adjust how you attack as he does. Otherwise, there's nothing special worthy of noting about this mark. After killing him go to the Temple Approach section of Mt. Bur-Omisace. In the middle of the road you should see a Wyrm Snout. Push "X" next to it with no weapons or shields equiped to open it. |
Rank 7 | Fishy Dreams | |
Ixion | Level 70 | HP 306559/166559 |
Petitioner | Lady in The Whitecap of Balfonheim
Reward | 3000 gil, Sapping Bolts, Ragnarok
Ixion can be found anywhere within the Subterra section of The Pharos. You'll know you're in the same area because the normal monsters will be gone. It's very important to make sure you fight him in the hallway instead of one of the side rooms. Doing so will give him only half his normal HP. It will fight with Thunder based attacks and also use sleep and silence status effects. Be prepared for them and it will make this fight much easier. |
Rank 6 | God or Devil? | |
The Seer | Level 67 | HP 278078 |
Petitioner | Montblanc himself
Reward | 20000 gil, Megalixer x2
This is a very complicated mark. Start by going to the Subterra section of The Pharos. The Seer is in the basement, but to get to it you have to activate the Pedestals of Night that are in the side rooms of each floor. Fight the regular monsters to get Black Orbs and use them to charge the pedestals. You need a total of thirty-six for the Penumbra floor, fiftty-seven for the Umbra floor, and seventy-five for the Abyssal floor. On the Penumbra floor you will have to fight a very powerful Phoenix monster in order to get to the next floor. When you finally get to The Seer it will become invulernable and start summoning other monsters that you have to fight. They are Pandemonium, Slyt, Fenrir, and then the Phoenix again. Once they are gone you can start to attack the mark. It will use fear to take away your MP, and once it gets near death it's defense raises so try taking it out with spells or quickenings once that happens. |

Okay, Yiazmat, are you ready? He has over fifty-million HP, but at least you don't have to take them away all at once. It will take a very long time. He's found in the Ridorana Cataract's Colloseum. I'm going to go into full detail here. Have your strongest character set to always physically attack. Equip them with the Masamune and Genji Glove. He'll be taking a whole flurry of status effects spells. Bubble, Haste, Berserk, Decoy, Bravery, and Protect are all good and should be kept on him as often as possilbe. Another character should be set to cast Hastega, Protectra, Shellga, and Bubble. The last should use Esunaga, and Expose. Both those two support characters should have the first gambit set with Ally Any: Chronos Tear, and make sure you bring plenty of Chronos Tears. The other gambits should be Arise, Bubble, and then Curaja set to =60%. They should both have Sage Rings equiped. Then, once the fight starts, Dispel and try to stay alive ;) When it gets low on HP it will cast Growing Threat to double it's level , which I'm sure you're incredibly excited about. Just make sure you don't stay out of his range for too long while you're running on and off screen or he will begin to heal himself very quickly. |
