The typical kind of mode. This has been used by the previous FFs. A character gains overdrive by taking damage, evading attacks and using support spells on themselves. This is the default mode. |
Warrior mode enables the character to gain overdrive by attacking an enemy. The charge will depend on the amount of damage that character caused. This can be obtained by dealing damage to an enemy for a number of times. |
With Healer, a character can gain overdrive by healing their allies and using healing items (Note: This will not work by healing yourself). This can be obtained by healing your allies for a number of times. |
Comrade which is a little like Stoic only this time, it enables a character to gain overdrive by having their allies take damage (Note: This will not work if the current character will damage his/her allies). This mode can be obtained by having your allies take damage for a number of times. |
Slayer just like what it's name means enable a character to gain overdrive by killing an enemy. This can be obtained by defeating a number of enemies. |
Victor enables a character to gain overdrive by winning battles and being am emeber of the front line. The gauge will increase depending on how strong the enemy was. This can be obtained by winning a number of battles. |
In Tactician mode, a character can gain overdrive by successfully inflicting status ailments on an enemy (ie: poison, petrification & darkness). This can be obtained by obviously successfully inflicting status ailments on a enemy for a number of times. |
With Hero, a character can gain overdrive by fighting/killing enemies with high HP. This again obviously, can be obtained by fighting/killing a number of enemies with high HP. |
One of the more useless modes is Ally. Whenever in Ally mode, a character gains overdrive on each turn little at a time. This can be obtained by having a character get a number of turns (Note: This will not work if the character is KO'd or not in the front lines). |
Just like the name daredevil, in this mode a character gains overdrive by fighting an enemy with low HP. (ie: HP and name is yellow.) The more low your HP is the more your gauge will increase. This can be obtained by fighting many enemies when characters have low HP. |
Another useless mode where a character gains overdrive by fighting enemies with KO'd allies. This means you fight alone and all your allies are KO'd or ejected from battle. This can be obtained after fighting a number of enemies alone. |
Another useless mode is Coward. This obviously means running away from enemies. A character's gauge increases as the party flees from battle or successfully escapes. This can be obtained after fleeing or escaping from battle for a number of times. |
In Dancer mode, a character gains overdrive by eluding an enemy's attack. And this can be obtained after eluding attacks for a number of times. |
Rook enables a character to gain overdrive by blocking a magic spell. Which means, whenever a character successfully uses a Nul spell or Reflect, the gauge will increase. This can be obtained by successfully blocking elemental spells by casting Nul spells and Reflect for a number of times. |
The opposite of Tactician wherein a character gains overdrive when inflicted with status ailments. (EX: A monster casts sleep on one of your guys. Your guys' Overdrive goes up) This can be obtained after being inflicted with status ailments for a number of times. |
In this mode, a character gains overdrive by always defending in battle (ie: Pressing the triangle button). This can be obtained after defending in battle for a number of times. |
A little like Sufferer, only with Victim a character gains overdrive by suffering status ailments (eg. A monster casts poison on one of your guys. Your overdrive goes up by taking damage from the poison). This can be obtained after suffering ailments for number of turns in battle. |
Almost like Solo wherein a character gains overdrive by defeating enemies when an ally is KO'd. This can be obtained after defeating enemies when an ally is KO'd a number of times in battle. |
