Beowulf Kadmas |

Beowulf Kadmas, former Shrine Knight. Master of the Yin And Yang, Beowulf uses a mix of Oracle Magic with Sword Skills to create an awesome fighter. Beowulf was once a Shrine Knight working alongside Vormav Tingel, until his love, Reis, was cursed and turned into a Dragon. Leaving the Shrine Knights to find her, Beowulf has travelled the world. He joins your party in hopes of finding Reis. |

Reis Dular |

Reis Dular, Dragon Master. Reis has a profound love for dragons, and shares their abilities. Perhaps this is why she was turned into a dragon by a jealous priest. Reis is like a cross between a Mediator and Dragon. She can use the magical powers of the dragon, as well as invite Dragons to your party. By breaking the dragon curse, you unlock her potential of being a Dragoner. The spell on her can be undone by the light of a Zodiac Stone. |

Worker 8 |

Worker 8, Steel Giant. Worker 8 is an ancient robot created by an unknown civilization. Rumor has it that other Steel Giants inhabit a forbidden temple on a far island. Worker 8 uses highly advanced technology to attack his foes, ranging from incredible robot punchs to giant fusion laser rays. These attacks bear so much recoil, however, that Worker 8 even damages himself. |

Cloud Strife |

Oh mai gawd, it's Cloud. Yup, Cloud. You know, the spiky headed jerk from Final Fantasy Seven. Cloud was drawn into FFT's world by a strange dimentional distortion device activated in Goug. Cloud uses techniques from Final Fantasy Seven in battle. In addition, it seems he has picked up another ability- The awesome Cherry Blossom. On the downside, however, Cloud takes crazy long to cast his spells, making him a bit hard to work with. |

The Byblos |

Um.. Yeah. The Byblos. This creature's name is determined at random, so we FFT freaks just call him "Byblos". For reasons unbeknownst to our author, the Byblos turns against his friends in the Deep Dungeon to help you defeat Elidibs, the lost Serpentarius. The Byblos possesses the heart and skill of a monster, making him a powerful ally. His abilities vary in uses, ranging from vengence attacks to status ailments. |
The Side Journeys
Ah.. sidequests. Something that have been in RPGs since the dawn of time. FFT's Sidequests are perhaps one of the more rewarding sets of quests, resulting in a total of 5 new characters, the ultimate Summon, 3+ Zodiac Stones, and the best weapons/armours in the game. Wow. Doesn't THAT just make you itch with anticipation? Thought so. Let's go, grasshopper. Elidibs and Cloud are waiting.
| The Tale of Cloud |

Let's begin. Our journey begins after you bump off Dycedarg. Or so. It varies on what you're trying to do. I believe you can get everyone up to Worker 8 before fighting Dycedarg, but don't hold me to that. Before we start, you should know something. You must have Mustadio, he's instrumental to this. Anyways, head on over to Goug and pay a visit to Mustadio's old man. Wow, a metal sphere! Ain't that cool. A symbol is on it, too. That should automatically tell you that this sphere obviously wants a Zodiac Stone. Let's go to Goland and listen to some rumors, eh? Once you're done there, pay a visit to Lesalia. They probably know some stuff there. Hmm.. A bar scene! Sorry guys, no alcohol fueled fights, just boring talk about monsters in Goland... Huh? You were just at Goland. Something must be going down. Beowulf overhears your bravery, and asks if you'll accompany him to Goland. Sure, why not, eh? Once you're at Goland, you're attacked. By who, you ask? Chemists. Who else?! (I hate those guys..) Anyways, kick their arses. Then get ready for another fight. (It never ends, does it?) What a surprise.. Another battle. Win. Let's continue. Oh, look, a purple dragon! Don't see many of those.. Holy cow, it's Reis! (Who saw that coming?) We'd better save her! Once you do, Beowulf and Reis join your party, rewarding you with a shiny new Zodiac Stone! I wonder if this'll fix up Reis.. Guess not. Maybe Mustadio can do something with it. Back to Goug. Well, ain't that great. It's just the stone needed to wake up the metal globe. Lookit, it's alive, mommy! .. Not really, it's just Worker 8. Yay, new friends! *dances* .. Oh god, he wants another stone for another machine, now. Ah well. Off to Zeltennia. Like you did before, partake in some idle chit-chat at the bar. Maybe you'll hear something about Zodiac Stones or robots. Wow, look. Another dot on your map.. Let's go look there. Upon setting foot on the island, you come to a temple and get attacked. The monster you face is none other than Worker 7, another version of Worker 8. If you can, get atop the pillars with Move-Find equipped. I hear there's some cool stuff up there. After dealing with Worker 7, you receive a new Zodiac Stone. And this stone, luckily, is the stone that turns Reis human again. Alright! Be sure to get her some equipment (that'll be hard..), and abilites. Now bring the stone to Goug. If you haven't bought a flower from the flower girl in Zarghidas yet, do so. Then continue on to Goug. Mustadio's dad activates the machine with your new stone, and out pops Cloud. What a plot twist! However, the ungrateful fool dashes off without a word of thanks. Some people's children.. Gee.. Maybe the flower girl has something to do with it. Cloud does, after all, have a thing for flower girls. Sure enough, when you reach Zeltennia you run into Cloud, and he's in trouble. Save his arse and beat the bandits. Hooray, you've got Cloud. |
| The Deep Dungeon |

Deep Dungeon. Wow. What an.. awe-inspiring name. Anyways, I highly recommend going there. You'll find the legendary 13th Zodiac, Serpentarius, the best weapons and armors in the game, the Zodiac Summon, and possibly the hardest situation (I hesitate to say "battle", the battle is easy.) in the game, all in the Deep Dungeon. Wow. To start, head to Warjilis to find out how to get there. Before entering the Deep Dungeon, level up your units. I highly recommend Ramza, Orlandu, Agrias, Cloud/Beowulf/Mustadio, and Rafa. Why Rafa, you ask? She sucks. We know that. However, she *does* in fact have a use. Her naturally low brave levels make her an awesome person to use Move-Find. And trust me, you'll want Move-Find. Hidden on the battlefields of the dungeon are the best items in the game, including the Chaos Blade, the ultimate weapon of death. Deep Dungeon, once you're ready, is quite... interesting, to say the least. It's pitch-black and full of monsters. To add insult to injury, in order to advance, you must discover the "exit", hidden randomly on the battlefield. If you defeat the enemies before finding the exit, you're doomed to repeat the level. I suggest killing every foe but one, then have Beowulf, Mustadio, or a Time Mage disable that foe's ability to move or act. Then send Rafa out to find the items, and have everyone else search for the exit. It works. It's tedious like sin, but it works. Once you finally reach the final level, END, you should be quite ready for the worst fight of your life. Elidibs, the lost sorceror. Before entering battle, ley me to tell you something. You have two choices:
If, however, you're the cool and adventurous type, then get ready for the hardest battle in the game. In order to learn Zodiac, you must have a Summoner get hit by the spell, and LIVE. That sounds easy, but it's NOT. Even if you do survive Zodiac, you have a 25% chance of not learning it. Such is life. Anyway, once you've got Zodiac and Chaos Blade, unload on Elidibs. The Byblos was excellent at harming Elidibs, especially with Difference. Lightning Stab also works wonders. Good luck. You're gonna need it, mate. |
Battle Tactics
| The Chantage |
| If you didn't know, the Chantage is an accessory that makes female warriors just about invincible. Get your hands on four Chantages, and you've got a well-nigh onstoppable team. (Other than the fact Ramza cannot equip the things.) Chantages are aquired by poaching either Porkys or Uribos, I forget which. |
| Stop the Humans |
| Humans have a fatal weakness you can exploit- They use weapons to attack you. Break their weapons.. and they can't hurt you. Orlandu and Meliadoul are masters at this; Hellcry Punch has a 100% Weapon Break Accuracy. They won't know what hit them. |
| Stupify the Mages |
| There is one flaw to the "Stop the Humans" tactic, however. What if your enemy is a mage..? How will breaking their weapon help you then? It won't. However, Orlandu's Dark Sword can wipe out their offence in one fell swoop. Most people overlook Dark Sword, dismissing it as useless. It doesn't cause damage, then it's gotta be useless. Wrong. Dark Sword with single handedly ruin any human mages MP rating, rendering him powerless. |
| Beowulf's Fury |
| This tactic is a bit more fun than it is useful. Cast Reraise on Beowulf, and then let the enemies tear him apart. He revives. Now, he has a fatal weapon at his disposal- Shock! Shock! deals back to enemies the damage they have dealt to Beowulf. Let him die once and you've got a 500+ Attack every shot. |
| Never Underestimate the Mage |
| Many people reach the conclusion that magic is useless, once you get Sword Skills and Limits and stuff. But there's always that flaw with Limit- It takes forever. Don't you hate when you get a ton of enemies all bunched together and a blast of Cherry Blossom will lay the smack down on them in a blink, and then they move? Yah, I do too. But, what ever happened to 'Don't Move'? Just have one or two people cast Don't Move all you'll have the whole enemy line tsopped up. Then charge your Cherry Blossom and blow them all away. Sure, Don't Move fails a lot, but it's a great contingency plan. |
| Armor Saves Lives |
| Equip Armor is possibly one of the best Assist Abilities ever made. Learn it ASAP. Imagine a Ninja with Armor as he learns Two Sword. Imagine a Monk with heavy armor. Imagine a Summoner casting a spell, protected by armor as he charges a grand spell. |
