World of Final Fantasy will be out this October just a month after Final Fantasy XV and Square Enix has some more footage and details about this upcoming spinoff.
PlayStation Access has managed to play a new demo of the game focusing on the game's battle system. In this footage we can see familiar enemies such as Bombs, Tonberries, and Mandragoras. You can catch monsters ala Pokemon by wittling their health to a certain point and imprisoning them. Monsters or mirages as they're called in this game, can be stacked on your character's head to grant them abilities in battle like two fire monsters can grant you access to the Firaja spell. These mirages can even evolve just like Pokemon and have their own skill tree.
Summons in this game seem to have been replaced by the medal system in which you can summon characters from the mainline series to perform an attack. In this demo we can see Tidus from Final Fantasy X being called forth to perform his best Overdrive Blitz Ace. The animation can be quite
