Square Enix announced a new project from their Business Division 5 unit, which is known for such games as Final Fantasy XI, Final Fantasy XIV, and Dragon Quest Builders. As of this time, the only information is this banner, which simply announces that something is coming soon. The image is borrowed from promotional art for Final Fantasy XIV, so could this new project have a connection? Is it possible that they'll give us a single player JRPG based in the Final Fantasy XIV world?

Today is the birthday of the much beloved classic, Chrono Trigger! Widely regarded as one of the best RPG's of all times, this game can appeal to fans old and new and has obviously stood the test of time. Speaking of time, this game follows our heroes as they travel through it, visiting both the distant past and the far off future. It originally came out on the Super Nintendo and has since been remade for the Nintendo DS.

Happy Birthday to one of the main heroes of Final Fantasy VI! Celes is perhaps best known for her opera scene, which is one of the most iconic moments in Final Fantasy history. Or perhaps you best remember her from a more tragic scene later in the game, where she really shows her vulnerability during a time of tragedy. Either way, Celes is a standout character from Final Fantasy VI, and a part of many people's gaming memories.

Here's hoping Final Fantasy XV will make you cry. Not with disappointment and anger at money wasted, but rather at the sadness and beauty of the storytelling. At least, that's what Square Enix wants to happen when you play the latest numbered entry to the FF series later this year.

Threads of Fate (PlayStation)
Note: While I am familiar with the basics of Rue's storyline, I have only played and completed Mint's storyline and so my review will focus mostly on my experiences with her.
Threads of Fate is an action RPG where you can choose between two protagonists and each of their stories. While the general story is the same, the details can be very different as each focuses more on their own goals and personality. Rue's storyline is more serious while Mint's is more lighthearted, although both get their heavy moments. While a lot of the game is different, there are some nearly identical scenes as well and the overarching plot progresses much the same way.

Dragon Quest Heroes II is releasing soon in Japan as a follow-up to the popular spin-off to Dragon Quest which mixes classic Dragon Quest characters with a Dynasty Warriors battle system, much like Hyrule Warriors did for Zelda. Yesterday, the team treated us with this presentation, focusing on multiplayer co-op.
Multiplayer battles play out in the "Space-Time Labyrinth", which was originally intended to be a multiplayer-only dungeon, but was made available for single-player by popular demand. No additional details on the dungeon were provided, but judging by the battle seen in the video, it does promise a log of action.
Dragon Quest Heroes II comes out in Japan in May on Playstation 4, Playstation 3, and Playstation Vita. There is no word on the Western release yet. Would you be interested to play this game, should it come out in the West? Are you excited for multiplayer? Did
