Yes they do, and ill be able to go further in depth tomorrow after i get home from school. At least with my kung fu school... Its a bit complicated. What state do you live in/college is in? Ill be able to see if theres a school in your state and let you know where as our branch kindof has schools around the world.
Oh, that's really awesome! I should look into kung fu too, I want to expand my martial arts expertise. Do they have a belt system or anything?
Shaolin kung fu in general is just fun. Its definitely the martial art for me. I did judo tournaments as a kid. Though of course little kid tourneys are hardly the same. I dont know much about shaolin tourneys though... Apparently they have a bunch of weird rules and restrictions but i cant be sure.
Whoa, that sounds pretty neat, I've got to see one of these Drunken festivals some time then :o And taekwondo is pretty awesome! I love it as a sport as well, I've got a ton of medals hanging up on my wall
Drunken is a style based upon movements of drunks. It includes Lots of very unorthodox movements made to confuse the opponent like an awkward walk and many different types of rolls (some drunken forms even have cartwheel kicks). It uses a lot of core strength, and a lot of moves give off the impression that youre open and off balance when you're actually in total control. Ive had it used on me in sparring and its just... Oh man. And taekwondo? One of my friends does that and it seems pretty awesome. Taekwondo schools are a dime a dozen out here so ill probably find one that doesnt suck at study it sometime down the road.
Is Drunken literally just doing martial arts while drunk? Or is it something else? :o I do taekwondo! I'm on a break right now but will start up again in college
Im so torn right now. This would be my first drunken form and i know it would be awesome because... Well... Drunken is amazing There is also another concert coming up soon after i guess... Hmmm And wait, what martial art do you study? Im sorry if you've told me in the past.
I have no idea, too much studying to really think about it? :P and dude I would go to the kung fu festival. I mean I'm a martial artist so I guess I'm biased but...
That... Actually makes perfect sense Why didnt i think of that? And on the 20th theres a vampire weekend concert going on that ive been looking forward to for months, and all of a sudden it turns out theres a drunken style kung fu festival on the same day at around the same time at the same time and price The gods are toying with me.
