I have always maintained that my children are going to be smurfing perfect or get put up for adoption. I need to ensure a good end for myself.
It's the mental deterioration that gets me. It's all well and good to endure physically, but it must be pretty sad to forget yourself and everyone else after a lifetime of acquiring relationships and experiences. A bit grim. The important thing is to have rich kids who'll end you somewhere nice I suppose.
Ugh I know how you feel. They probably enjoy life way more than I do but now, imagining myself as old, I can't help but go "aw smurf how long til I die?" It's probably not the case but there's probably some secret they learn along the way, some club they get into. I hope I'm not one of those old people who is clearly old though. Like I'd prefer to be old like my athletics coach. He is balding and has a lot of wrinkles but looks fit and has no discernible disabilities or anything. I don't want to wait for death.
Can't work out if I like the elderly or not. They're kind of tragic.

I can't imagine his journey will be anything but peaceful and nondescript.

Eeyore is normally so sad and depressed, I'm glad he's perked up a bit this time.
mine took a bit longer because it was hard to get Eeyore to smile for the photo. He did it eventually when he figured out that everything was going to be okay. : )
