I got through Final Fantasy VII by basically leveling up by 2 - 3 levels in-between each boss fight and attacking a lot and healing myself when I was weak. I just bulldozed everything with GFs on Final Fantasy VIII until enemies started instant killing me. Well played, VIII.
Haha that's how I used to be until I experimented a little bit. You can get away with all offense in a lot of games, so I don't blame you for not branching out. It's usually the fastest way to get through a fight!
Damn. That's pretty handy. I was never good at strategy with my RPGs. I'm basically all offense.
You should try using Rikku next time you play through! Constantly stealing ensures you never run out of healing items, and if I remember correctly, you can combine battle items for different effects too. It basically turns her into a super fast black/white mage.
I rarely ever stole anything myself.
He was always in my party too, along with Rikku. The thief characters are usually my favorites!
