I love getting new tools and just wrecking enemies that used to be more difficult (or just wrecking them even harder). I just built a very tall tower with 10 separate rooms for my house and I think it works well, it's mostly just for storage and NPC housing than looks.
Aye. It's great when you upgrade your tools, though. I started adding depth to my buildings last time I was playing, through creative use of background walls, and my house looks sodding amazing.
