That is what I plan to do, a friend and I are going to build a new one and then use my current PC as backup/storage space.
That is where the balancing act comes into it then! Gotta spend money to make money, as they say. Have you looked into building one yourself? You might be able to get some pretty hardcore bargains on individual pieces to save a bunch.
I'm probably better off then I think I am but I tend to be overly cautious when it comes to money and debt. I should probably get a new PC since most of my career goals will require a good PC.
School loans will haunt you if you're not careful so I do recommend paying them off first. Hopefully you can salvage most of your current PC and have it tide you over for a little while. No point getting stuck in debt if all you can do is tell us about it here
It's from 2005, so yeah... it's been long overdue, I just don't have the funding. I could probably buy one now but I'm trying to save up money for my school loans after I graduate in the spring.
How old was your pc? Getting a new one would be a good investment, but goddamn what a pain in the butt. Sucks, dude :/
It's manageable, but not where I would like it. I doubt it can ever be restored fully, but maybe it's time I get a new PC. I still need to retrieve a few of my programs back but luckily Audacity fixed itself.
