  1. EoFF is the minority, I've noticed. There are a lot of people here who I wouldn't mind as my MP.
  2. I think we must be higher evolved creatures, you and I. Because I can't fathom the stupidity of some people. I don't think we're the majority either
  3. Freaking. Exactly. People are sometimes just stupid. Don't reward them for being stupid!
  4. Yeah, the frivolousness of some of these lawsuits is crazy. We did a section on that in legal studies class, and I was appalled. It wasn't just Australia though, that sort of crap happens everywhere.

Oh there's no sign warning me that the water's only half a metre deep so I should dive in head first. It's a smurfing creek!
  5. I think just stop bending over for idiots is the way to go. Oh...I tripped on a loose paving slab. Imma sue the council for millions. Yeah, the council should fix the paving slab. But no, you need to watch where you're smurfing going. You win no money, unless the scraped knee you got genuinely affected your life in a legal way. Like, loss of amenity, or loss of career or something.
  6. You know you're probably right with that. There are other ways to go about it. Oh man I really need to get things straight before I get any power to affect things in the community :o
  7. GRAGH!

I don't think armed forces should ever be mandatory. It's not a necessary requirement to making people accept responsibility.
  8. I understood that it was a metaphor, but just ignored it and took it literally xD

But from what I know, it seems that armed forces training straightens out people. Not all people, but it's another attempt at giving them the skills and asking them to use them properly.
  9. It was a metaphor.
  10. I'm undecided whether explaining it to a kid and then again as an adult would be beneficial. I agree though, giving an adult a gun and explaining it forces them to take the responsibility.

12 years of schooling and then 1 year of armed combat training. Or not even the combat, just make them do basic training. Of course it would need to have varying degrees for those who are weak and such, but still challenging to teach discipline.
