It makes sense in a way. Bosses or GFs or even Characters leading monsters into battle! It kind of takes a tactical turnbased RPG feel
Haha, yeah. It's possible for more people to play than the "Firaga" setup, yet you still get a chance to use your favourite high-level card. It's was a pretty clever and awesome idea if I do say so myself. ...plus it has some extra spice with the idea that one of the cards is the "leader" of the other cards. xD
I feel as though we've created a perfectly balanced match that doesn't give too much power to those with 8+ cards, because you can still combo to hell with 7s and they have elementals too Your idea was superb!
Yeah, I kinda agree. Level 1-4 gives more options and opens up possibilities for more creativity. Especially with the elemental rule on, I feel level 1-4 might actually be better. So let's go for that. Level 1-4 + a Commander card of any level is the way it is. And yeah, level 1 cards are pretty much only ever useful in level 1 card-only matches.
I think 1-4 opens up a lot of surprises when you include Elemental, because you have to decide whether to just go for the straight Same/Plus cards or try for an Elemental deck and it's got a lot more depth. Level 1 cards are pretty much useless regardless though
