Wow that's some pretty high level stupid
There's this news story going around about the three women from Quebec. They were on this cruise from England to Australia, it seems, and were taking the requisite, lame pictures of themselves with fruity drinks and in skimpy swimwear, writhing in the surf, making duck faces, etc., etc. They were posting it all on Instagram. Nothing new there. Until they posted a picture of the 200lbs of cocaine they were going to try to smuggle into Australia. So now, because it's a commercial level of drug smuggling, they could be looking at a life sentence.
It's decent. Just mechanic things.

See, I can even work with that. What I get stuck on is, "Why doesn't this problem work like the rest?" "Well, it could, but doing it that way is incredibly difficult." or "It just doesn't." I can't keep all the specific rules for different situations in my simple mind.
Why I don't like math summed up in a tutoring convo I overheard: "But wait, why does that work like that?" "It just does."
Yeah I understand. It's just sad though
Yeah, but I think it helps to know what their thought process is. It's not a complete misconception on their part. Information like this can help people truly trying to make a difference learn how those people think, and begin trying to show them the benefits of working to create a better functioning government. I mean, they're all buying insurance from that lady through AFLAC. They're convinced pretty much all programs should be privatized while suffering through what large scale privatization has already done (albeit combined with poor government regulation). Perhaps with the right face behind a message, they'd be receptive to changing their thoughts. The article already alluded to the fact that they respond to a strong personality more than a specific rhetoric.
