We all have a certain level of selfishness, sure. It's instinct. But we've also achieved a place mentally where we can overcome that if we choose to. At least, that's what I believe. Not everyone gets there, but some of us can
It's times like these that I get the feeling that maybe we all are actually selfish deep down and actual peace is unattainable. But I hope I'm wrong.
Yeah that is very worrisome. What's done is done now and hopefully everyone can come out the other end in a good place. I'm sure society will adapt eventually but hopefully the time before then isn't too rough
It's like super scary because before my country joined the EU we were incredibly poor and a total mess, and then the EU happened and we had an economic miracle so I'm just worried everything will go to hell and we'll just recede back to Russia or something :ohdeae: In general, I just can't understand how in this day and age where so many advances have happened people still think separating themselves from others instead of striving for a more peaceful, unified world. It's just so sad
