Glad to hear it went well. Ugh, Noel's quest is one of the more annoying ones, but the class you unlock for completing it was actually really good. They specialize in Greatswords, which are one of the better weapons in the game and will be useful if you chose a Male Final Emperor since he joins with a pretty powerful greatsword. Good luck with the anthology though, I really need to re-focus and try to get a few more of my stories entered into contests or maybe published in a magazine. I have an anthology series I meant to finish that I started in college, I could start that up. Still, the comic book should be my priority for the moment. I still need to finish fixing the short story but I'm at the point where I need to rewrite Elly's dialogue, but I'm feeling lazy about it.
The Christening went great, actually. The family finally got to meet my fledgling spawn and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Well, I’ve decided to proceed then and I managed to do some more stuff. Cleared the towers in the desert - one of the heroes, Noel, was finally brought up, so I might be facing him soon. Got the Saigo Clansman to join me and he’s pretty cool, I just wish I had a better club for him. So far I have the Vagabond, Brawler and Saigo Clansman unlocked and they’ve all been pretty great. Can’t wait to see what else I can get. Well, looking forward to reading the thing whenever you have something for me! Meanwhile, I’ve decided to try and pitch some of my short stories as a collection somewhere - maybe that’ll give me the confidence boost I need, and I might even earn some money - who knows. But I’m still writing the book. Also still brainstorming the mecha comic idea. And I’m also getting more and more concrete ideas for starting a YouTube channel. We’ll see how that goes.
They're not that important, but they are a great upgrade for one of your other classes. The males all have great affinity with Spear techs making it easier to spark new moves and the females are all rounders with focus on magic and melee. They're best attributes is that they came with a Shield innately or defense and the class has one some of the best health and LP pools of all the classes. Basically, they're tanky and decent fighters. There are a lot of classes in this game though, so don;t worry about it too much, that class just happened to be my favorite of the ones I unlocked. I feel that Diver (Ocean Woman) and Nerid (Mermaid) were the only two classes I ended up really hating. Tactician was troublesome as well, but that's largely because I used that class with a bad party combo in a scenario with a surprisingly difficult boss fight. I figure the Christening took up most of your time so I'm not surprised you've been busy. Did it go without incident? Yeah the story has mecha in it, but as I mentioned before, they're more of a background element and treated like a basic war machine as opposed to be super special and unique. Rebecca never pilots one for instance, but it's actually Iris specialty and it plays out in the climax of the first act where the group help a mercenary company who specialize in the use of mecha. After that, they only pop up a few more times for large battle scenes. The third story in the trilogy is suppose to be the one that will dive into my passion for large robots and mecha, though I'm still debating how far I want o keep it in the Real Robot genre, or if I should go more Super Robot like Xenogears for that story.
Aw damn Is the game much harder without it? Maybe I should just do New Game + now? It’s cool that you’ve got ideas you’re passionate about that you’re incorporating into your book now. I never knew it had Mecha in it! Meanwhile, I’ve had a short writing hiatus, but I hope to get back into it today
In writing news, I'm working on my main novels story bible. Been in a mecha mood lately, so I'm filling in the details concerning the mecha that show up in the novel. Surprisingly, they're more of a background element in this story and will largely get little focus outside of one distinct battle a third of the way in the story, but I figure I can re-use this idea for other projects as well. I'm currently explaining how the machines can get around the Square Cube Law and I even get to use some Kabbalah flavor text to name the system.
Eh, that quest actually unlocks what I consider to be one of the best classes...
Yeah, I’ve pretty much made peace with the fact that I’ve missed this and I’ve learned my lesson. I think I did have a save file from back then but it was so far back I didn’t even feel like it was worth it. I’m not a completionist by any means and I know this game is open ended, so I’m not even that bothered
Yeah, you might have accidentally cut the quest short. I'd check going to the castle wall that borders the Savannah to see if monsters are there. I think this scenario actually has a few ways it can go down, so there might be a possibility, but if you've saves since the time skip, it's likely lost forever. I learned the hard way myself that you need to stick to certain quests once they start or that will happen. It's how I lost out on the Samurai/Ronin Class.
I think so? I let the king pick his heir, which turned out to be Thomas, then I managed to stop a civil war, but it turned out Cyfreet was holding the prince hostage and when I saved him, Georg and Sophia were all “let’s finisg this!” And now that I’m back, not only are they still alive 100 years later, but all seems peaceful.
You went to the wall and beat the earthworm right?
