Well, yeah, at the end of the article they say it's ultimately na good thing that Internet vigilantes can help punish people who would otheriwse evade the law, and the rapist is most certainly condemned in the article. It's more about the harmful side effects that people just gloss over most of the time. Like one of the lines at the end was how 4chan actually helped confine a ton of innocent people for ISIS-related stuff, but still managed to thwart an actual terrorist attack or two. The article is more about pointing out that this happening comes with a lot of sacrifice. It's by no means defending the rapist guy
