I like the quote from Emily of New Moon that says, "Writing is not a choice. It's a lifelong compulsion!" That always stuck with me. That top 20 video game thread is going to be long.
Yeah, I often say that writing is like breathing - it's gotta be done, whether you like it or not. I can't think of anyone who likes editing either, to be honest!
It's more like a compulsion at times. I don't know anyone who enjoys editing. Even a guy I know who edits other people's books for a living doesn't like it, but it gives him money whether or not said authors go with any of his edits. And half of them don't >.>
I'm actually not a big fan of writing. I think it's a good thing, but it's sort of like eating vegetables - it's not super enjoyable but it has to be done. And then the outcome is good! Editing is my least favorite part though.
