Maybe it's the attention thing, maybe not. But when your only topic of conversation is football and women then it can get boring quickly. I think the problem with discussions with other guys is that sometimes guys are insecure and don't like to open up because of that. Like, if you mention normal everyday things they try to act all rough'n'tough but it's just dumb. I like to be able to talk about anything and everything, and girls allow that kind of discussion better than guys do. Some are good at it, mind you. Knox, he's gives awesome convos. Psy is pretty amusing. But guys who are like "Final Fantasy? Nah, I only play Call of Duty and nothing else, because other games are for pussies. Play football! YEAH!!!" are a bit boring. Especially the kinds that think the only way to enjoy anything is to get drunk first. That's pretty dumb too.
Hahaha, me too me too. I am pretty old fashioned too like you. I think I am worse cause the last time I think the person I gave my first kiss is the one I will spend the rest of my life with! And I felt so embrassed and awkward when I read that kiss thread that everyone had the first kiss so young. Gosh, I felt like a little girl. I thought a guy can start a conversation with another guy easily through topics like soccer,booze and women! But how come in your views that women are better at conversation? Ya know I know girls some will be too shy and scared to talk to any stranger especially men with beard. Or you just want to talk to the most attractive girl and want her attention.
I'm probably one of the least like that type. xD I guess this is one area that I'm a little old fashioned in - I believe that you shouldn't sleep around and that you should only sleep with people if you think you can spend the rest of your life with them. I don't mind what others do, but that's how I am with my life. What about you? Sounds like typical Psy! And yeah, I'll admit I talk to girls more often than guys, but only because guys tend to be terrible at conversation. Especially if you don't know them already through other means, eg. online or work or school or something. If it's a guy I don't know, I don't strike up much conversation if there are girls around.
Provided someone asked and that someone bother to listen. But I think the sunset is more beautiful than that silly structure in the middle of the sea. That bloke even stays overnight with me when I am doing night watch to keep me company. I guess when you boys are lonely out there, you will just pound at any skirts you see! Are you one of this type? Yaya!! I remember when I tell that bloke Psychotic about this, he told me it is because I'm the only girl in the group and if there are others around, I will totally be ignored. How terrible of him! Usually as a guy, will you prefer to start the conversation with the lady in the group too?

Hopefully I remember to check when I'm at home or something. Sounds like you had a lot of fun, although that guy is pretty rude for leading you on like it seems he did. People wise. Let me see. As my ship went to various Arabian Countries to dock during our rest time, I will say that that the Arab countries except Dubai isn't all that developed. But they know how to appreciate a pretty girl. Last time me and my friends(All of them are guys) visited some shops in Dubai and the saleman will alway come straight for me to ask what I want and how can he help me instead of going to my friends! See!?? See!??? I'm cute!! Appreciative wise, those US high ranking commanders will randomly come aboard our ship, eat all the good stuff and said we done a good job. I wonder if they come here for the food or they got nothing better to do. My, three VM, i sure talk a lot.
As for giving of food and stuff, that is more or less duties of the army. For us we patrol around this oil rig /oil terminal in the middle of the sea to prevent terrorists for occupying or destroying it. We will be on duty for a week or two then we are allow to go dock our ship to a nearby Arabian country for a break. It is said that this oil rig provide much of the oil in Iraq and the US troops that station on the oil rig itself are like GIANTS. Here is a picture of that oil rig!! The sunset there are really nice btw.
Ya, you appear to be the opposite. You will jump in to answer questions anytime. Adventurous? Oh dear, I dun even know where to start! From my days in the Training School to my actual posting on board a ship, more or less everyday had been pretty adventurous! Personally wise for big event is that I know this guy who was temporarily attached to my ship during the Arabian Gulf Mission and we softa go out together a lot whenever we are allowed to go on shore to take a break and we got along pretty well. But he didn't contact me after the mission when we are back in our home country and I was told he already had a girlfriend before the whole mission. I was like WTH man... You boys...
I think the main reason that people tell you a lot about themselves is because you're just full of little questions and topics and whatnot. And probably the latter point of ours about not expecting serious answers, anyway. Here's a question! What was the biggest and most adventurous event you had on your travels? Did you help lots of people get food or anything? What were the people like? Appreciative? And oops about my last VM. Maybe I'll hack it so it shows up on your profile.
Actually, just between you and me, I found some pictures there traumatising. XD I usually goes there to look for cute pictures. Like those that Monda post! Ya maybe. I found it awkward to start a conversation to tell everyone about myself. I usually ask other about them to get them more into the conversation! Besides, people here dun expect a serious answer from me anyway! I dun think he mind, he's probably busy with his new favourites of the month. He will come back when he got tired of them.
