Gameplay wise it's like not doing anything at all. But suitable for ppl like me who is more interested in the story? lol. But ya, I can understand why you dislike the game. Will Final Fantasy 15 end up like this too I wonder. There is a trailer for it right?
Nope... their are no traditional RPG towns, and the dungeons are just straight paths with really really petty wallpaper. It's a very linear game.
SERIOUS!!?? So it's like watching an animation? WTH. Do you at least get to make choices during the game?
You don't even need to do that, there is an auto battle command that lets the AI do everything if you want. You mainly control what roles your character plays by changing around their AI scripts from Fighter, mage, and healer.
Ya, the gameplay is like... You insert a bunch of commands and they just engage into combat on their own for the whole fight right?
I didn't personally like it, but then again one of my complaints was that the written story summaries within the game were often more informative than the actual cutscenes and acting. It's gameplay was also lacking but that's more of a preference thing. Some people seem to really like it, but I pretty much loathe it, then again, I'm also incredibly picky so my opinion is probably not as fair as it could be.
I read quite a lot about FF XIII. The storyline isn't that bad. Or overall it is bad?
I'm afraid not. I was so disappointed in XIII that I couldn't bring myself to play the sequel. It's a time travel plot, so I would assume it probably gets a bit confusing.
Have you played FF XIII-2? Is the storyline very confusing?
Yes
