There's ALWAYS a next time. Psychotic (best player) and I failed in mafia IX, his response, "Eh, next time." And next time he won, and I did well and all was forgot. Hell even DD could make up for his past annoyances if he continues to play seriously. How does any of that even become equivalent to a game? With a loyal fan base, it probably won't be soon.
There still isn't a next time with people though. Once your embarrassing secrets are spilled out by people who abused your trust and you've got zero dignity and respect from everyone else there is no "next time". Also, EoFF could stop having Mafia games at any time you know.
There is a next time, it's just a game, they host them every month or so. No one annoys you for a loss particularly long unless you purposely try to ruin a game (like some people *whistle*)
With video games there's always a next time, and you can always try again or start over. With real life competions and people, you can't exactly take back you actions or make up for mistakes and failures...
But; it's a game. It's like refusing to play a video game because you might get a game over.
You should know me: reluctant to take chances and always taking the path with little to no risks. Why else do you think I'm so untrusting and so unwilling to get involved in things?
