That’s a good question. I feel like I have a lot of catching up to do when it comes to Mecha series, since I haven’t seen that many. So far the biggest inspiration for the setting have been more sci fi than Mecha stuff I’ve seen proper. Still, that’s something I hope to fix soon enough. Never hurts to do more research.

It was funny because I doodled something as a placeholder and he liked her so much that we’ve decided she’s probably staying this way. He’s also doing some initial concepts for the main mech. I gave him like a bunch of inspirations to let him know how I envision it more or less, and it’s looking pretty cool so far, but Mecha designs are decidedly more difficult.
I was working with my partner on our comic, she has thankfully started drawing our heroine and I have largely figured out the overall framework of her story arc as well as decided on her main villain. Good luck with your story, you know I love me some giant robot shenanigans

Pretty cool. Even though if... is the one game in the series I’m probably the least interest in, it’s good to see it finally here. Which reminds me I really need to play SMTII someday

Eva is still probably my favorite Mecha anime. At least in the classical sense of the word, because Attack on Titan is pretty rad right now. But yeah, I hope we can do something cool with the genre. For now we’re at the very early stages of brainstorming, so who knows what it’ll turn out like. I also gave him homework in the sense that I’m making him play Xenogears because omg he hasn’t played it yet
