If you have a mafia power role, make sure to balance it with a town power role. Being mafia is a power role so make sure for each mafia y ou have a power role and for each mafia power role (ie like mafia cop) you have two. For the mafia and for the cop. That's the easiest simplest way to check it.

That would be the best idea. It's a lot of work and you two don't seem like you realize it.
