When it first started, it was actually hosted by two school kids. After the show ended they'd run off to school themselves. It was so freakin' awesome.

Mainstream anime was what I grew up with. We had a show called Cheez TV that broadcast cartoons every morning. That was my ritual every morning
haha indeed! I grew up on Scooby Doo, Tom n Jerry and Bugs Bunny. Throw in DBZ, Pokemon, and other such shows and you've just described a majority of my childhood time. Time well spent I might add haha

No, it's a fair enough excuse. I know how it is. You shouldn't just have an excuse though; you have to make the effort despite the problems. And evidently you have, and you've succeeded, and now you're doing well! More than fair indeed!
I used to do it to get drunk, but (and I know it was a crutch and a poor excuse) I had sever family problems and self-esteem issues when I lived in Clarksville. Now I have none of those and a pretty damn good life. A more than fair trade by my reckoning.
