I’ve axtually enjoyed pretty much everyone so far. I like the fisherman bros, Tai Ho and Yam Koo with their unite attack, Gremio and Viktor have a very nice dynamic, and everyone’s been pretty cool in general. I can’t waiy to try out Kai since he looks interesting, but he’s a higher level so far, so he’s benched. Luc kind of annoys me with how squishy he is for someone with an S-range weapon Don’t worry, I’ve slowed down too, but that’s okay as long as you keep doing something. Fingers crossed for your endeavors (and hoping I have something contest worthy soon too) and I’m always here if you need a beta reader. Yeah the Bible is going super slow but I’m much less stuck for now thanks to you. And yeah, I could use her for a Halloween story, but the problem is that would be an immediate tell the story is mine if I really do start writing this series earlier So far I’m kind of on the fence whether she should be a modern-day witch, a medium, or just a regular person with an interest in the paranormal and an uncanny talent of dealing with it, but whatever the case is, I think this can be a fun little side-project. I don’t want it to have too much of a continuity and it’s be cool if I managed to explore like, more contemporary horror stories (mostly internet and social media related) alongside more traditional stories but still in a way that’s fresh. I mean, maybe I want to make it more macabre comedy than horror since I don’t think I can really effectively scare anyone.
I'm glad to hear you're enjoying it. Who have you been liking so far? I have sadly slowed down work on the story I should probably be finishing, but I blame it on being inspired to work on other projects. I'm almost finish rewriting a piece I did in college and submitted one year for the Halloween contest here. I'm thinking of submitting the new version for a magazine, but then I started going back to an old idea I jotted down the concept for and never got around to writing. Like the closest thing I would ever do that could be considered a "zombie story" but a twist I feel you would appreciate. I may submit this story for publication purchases instead because I feel it's the closest thing I've written to a true horror story. Other than that, I'm dabbling with older story ideas. I have a document I use to chronicle story ideas I come up with at random to work on for later. So I've been reading through it and seeing if any of those ideas struck a chord with me. I'll probably get back to Waiting soonish. It's a rough piece for me to write cause the story comes from a personal place, so I probably needed to take a break from it to recharge. Glad to hear you're Bible is going well, and yay to new story ideas! Maybe you should use this short story for the Halloween contest?
So I’m digging Suikoden. Got my base and recruited some peeps, going to Great Forest Village now. I know I’m supposed to keep Pahn leveled high so he’s not leaving my party for now. How’s the writing coming along? I’m still slowly but surely working on my bible, but I also got hit with an idea for a horror/mystery short story series linked by a perky, Amelie-like central protagonist. I might just write something with her soon just to flex my writing muscles.
That's good, cause trying to get the Mangosh and Earth Rune Pieces is painful. Thankfully some of the later drops are manageable but those two, jeez.
Don’t worry. Just using Pumpkin’s recruitment guide and nothing else.
I will say right now, that if you're using a guide for items/gear, don't bother. The rare drop rate in the original game is notoriously low. Thankfully, normal items are not so bad and all event items needed to recruit characters like the Opal and Nameless Urn are fairly common drops.
Lol, well I suppose.
You did but I didn’t write it down and you and I talk so much I lost that
Yeah, except I already pretty much explained the difficult ones. I will say now that you should make sure to level and fully upgrade Pahn.
Look, man, I pretty much get one shot at it. I want it to be perfect
