  1. Pretty much, it's a bit more subtle than usual MegaTen shenanigans in that regards, though I've heard the Law/Chaos heroes are not exactly good at making their case to the player well.
  2. So either I just became pro, or Raidou 2 is much easier than the first game. And yeah, I’m still in chapter 2, but the plot felt much more mysterious and enticing in the first game so far. I still wanna see where it goes. As for alignment, I got shifted pretty far into law in the beginning for some reason, but now I’m back to neutral. I have a feeling it’s less about ideal and more about how much you value tradition and harmony versus individualism and honesty.
  3. Yeah, that was one of the complaints about the first entry.
  4. Ok so it looks like this game is also a bit less linear. There are some side quests in every chapter.
  5. True, but it still feels rare nowadays, not that it was a big thing even back then though.
  6. It’s not like that’s completely gone in newer games. If you have the series on PC, your Witcher 3 game can have your file transferred all the way from the first game.
  7. I miss having old save bonuses.
  8. Yup. It’s definitely rewarding. It also makes me happy because I’m rewarded for liking to experience a series in order, no matter how “outdated” people claim it is.

Also, apparently all referenced to Soulless Army only happen if you import a save file. So if you start from the second game, it will mostly just be a separate story.
  9. Makes me happy I tend to be thorough in these types of games.
  10. Yeah, and there’s apparently a list of demons that, if you had them in 1, will just join you right away when you encounter them. I got Poltergeist and Obariyon this way.

As for the vendor trash, you get one for just having a save file from Raidou 1, one for it being a clear game, and one for having at least 60% of your demon compendium, so it pays to look out for that
