I would so marry Gaius if I could be a lady in this game. What happened to his eye? So it was my birthday and only Sofia got me something Am now up to level 10, so only 5 more to go (woo~). The requests are my favourite part, so I'm sad I can only do 2 a day. Well it says something about an owl? and I don't know what that is
She gets more friendly towards you as things progress, and you actually get a really good story behind why she's so anti-social. As someone who is typically reserved myself, I really appreciated it. You can also take people on dates once a day after their friendship is high enough, and Raven's responses on some of those are just fantastic. Plus there's her big secret, which you don't know about yet. She actually thinks of Gaius as more of a father than anything else.
I'm not really digging Raven at all so far (check out my cool slang), but maybe once I see her story I will be Her brother is f-ing adorable though (I'm not even sure its her brother, I just call him that)
Sofia is my Number 2, actually. Raven is my absolute favorite. However, keep in mind that you don't have to choose until really late. Just increasing friendship will unlock new missions for each bachelorette. Missions are what build into the romances, but they are also personal stories. You don't actually get locked into the decision for quite a while, so don't rush too much. The stories are all really interesting, so just enjoy them and select your favorite. Sofia and Raven both have stories that really tug at the heartstrings. When you find out the reason for her perfectly normal manner of speech... Keep in mind as well that each bachelorette has a mini-story that occurs AFTER you marry them. So there is a ton of replayability.
I think it looks really fun. The characters are cute, the events are fun, and it seems to be a good "go at your own pace" kind of game. And farming was made easier when you tame your monsters. Sharky just finished his first year and he's basically already bought everything for his house. The main issue I'd have, which I've seen in one of the Harvest Moon games and also just today in Rune Factory 3 is being able to accept requests you can't complete yet for one reason or another. But at least in Tides of Destiny, you can cancel and select another, and you can do as many requests as you want each day So I finished the first dungeon area with the big racoon, but the next area has a suggested level of 15 and I'm at 8. So I'll do some more grinding and whatever. Money is starting to get more steady. I've decided to go with Sofia as my bachelorette, especially since she doesn't like trash like weeds that I can get for free I do like how many interesting characters their are, so I could replay it a few times and have different bachelorettes to go for
No. I played the first console game, Rune Factory Frontier. But it was kind of a mess (more scheduling problems, and the Runey system was nothing but a massive headache), so I avoided Tides of Destiny when it came out.
I'm using the double blades, yeah Have you played Tides of Destiny? I've seen sharky log a lot of hours in to it and it looks pretty fun actually.
My rating for the series: 3, 1, 4, 2 I didn't really like 2 much at all. Really annoying time limits, and some weird structure issues I had with the game. Four is good, but the characters seem to be not quite as strong as they are in 1 and 3. But the big issue with 4 is the random events system, which is kind of really, really annoying. What weapon are you using? I highly recommend the Double Blades.
I'm playing it on my 3DS, no LP this time I like it so far, but I haven't played much yet. Just did the bean throwing festival. It was pretty silly, but fun. Money was tight at first until i did a request and got a good chunk of it. I'm absolutely sucking at the fighting part. I manage to get through like... 1 screen. I've narrowed myself down to 2 bachelorettes, Colette and Sophia Also, would you say its worth trying 1,2, and 4 if I like this one?
If you're not going to LP it, would you mind popping in with your thoughts every now and then? It's seriously one of my Top 3 games of all time, and I would love your opinion on it.
