Yeah I understand that. Just for me, Imma play it anyway so its nice to get a little "Yay for you!". If I don't like it, I certainly won't keep playing it for achievements xD Nor do I go out of my way to get any, really. I just do what I do and it's nice sometimes to see like "Wow, you're part of 30% of people who have done this" or whatever
I'm glad it works for you. I think I may just be too proud for those. It's like the game isn't confident that I'll feel inclined to keep playing it so it tries to condition me into doing that. And Im like, game, I'm not your little Pavlov doggy, I know what I paid for and I'll play what I like
I used to not care about achievements but now I get a little yay when I get a little message about something I was going to do anyway
